Please help me understand some of the news. On October 6th, there will be an internet event in which Daniel Handler will participate. It's through Zoom. I want to know if the target audience is children or if anyone can watch it. Does anyone have any information? And what exactly is a webinar? Has anyone participated in something like this? Can you link to the announcement? I doubt that the target audience would be children - at least, if that were the case, the organizers would almost certainly have to mandate adult / parental presence.
A webinar usually entails an educational presentation, an interview with a panel of experts, or a small group learning activity. Technology-wise, it works just like a normal Zoom call.

I already realized my childhood dream after all - ask him something about Beatrice. Now I'm going to ask when Lemony Snicket's next book is going to be published. Can you link to the announcement? I reached out to them yesterday evening and they confirmed that it's open to all ages, and said they'll make it clearer on the website. Looks like they really worked fast on that!

I was in video conference with Daniel Handler and other authors this year. It was a small thing, it should have a maximum of 15 people. And when it was my turn to ask something, I asked about the Masked Ball when Lemony was captured. I asked if Lemony said to Beatrice "Count Olaf is dead"? Daniel Handler smiled, and said something like "They did it again". He greeted me (because before that I said that I hoped he and his family would be fine), and then he recited a poem, completely ignoring my question.
