This looks promising! If it lives up to those descriptions, it might surpass ATWQ in my estimate.

What makes me feel a bit uneasy about this publication is 'will delight readers of all ages' www.goodreads.com/book/show/37952717-poison-for-breakfastWhere did the 'look away and go read something else' go? Ik it was only for the Baudelaire case, but no book so far had this 180 degrees away mood.

In fact, since ATWQ, this is no longer a widely used feature by Lemony Snicket. While ASOUE was published at Lemony's will for the general public of his universe (this is a fictional justification of the work) with the aim of fulfilling a promise and not with the aim that the books would actually be read, warnings to keep distance were welcome .
ATWQ on the other hand are originally reports that were sent to VFD with copies for the people that Lemony promised to send. So, a simple confidentiality notice of these reports is enough to keep unauthorized people away from the reports (in other words, when Lemony wrote ATWQ he did not plan to be books for the general public).
Now we need to wait to understand what is the fictional justification for the existence of PFB. I believe it will be something like a diary or a commonplace book.

Ik it was only for the Baudelaire case, but no book so far had this 180 degrees away mood. I'd read that as marketing copy rather than a necessarily accurate excerpt from whatever will appear on the back cover, but Jean Lucio is quite correct that only ASoUE has specifically gone with the cautionary, mock-deterrent tone; Snicket's other works have taken a different tack entirely.

This is thread for some predictions or theorises based on the upcoming book Poison for Breakfast by Lemony Snicket.
Here are mine:
Lemony will die in the end
Let me explain: I believe that Lemony will try and find the antidote for the poison, however in the end when he does find it he won't able to take it. Either he's too late and the poison has killed him or he chooses not to and commits suicide.
Will learn about what happened after the series
If Poison for Breakfast does take place years after ASOUE (which I do believe), will learn about what happened after that. Like if there were any survivors of the Hotel Denouement fire, what remains of VFD and perhaps what happened to the Baudelaire's after The End.
Introduce New and Old Characters
The ASOUE universe is filled with many interesting and complex characters, each with their own bit of lore to the story. I think that we will meet some new unseen characters and possible some from ATWQ (the prequel series) return for the final climax. FYI: I hope it's either Moxie or Ellington.
But those are just mine. Let's hear yours

Interesting predictions, and some of them I agree with. But I think Dante will join this thread with our oldest thread on the same subject.

Only 'prediction' I have so far is that there could be Ramona Quimby from DH's possible clues so far. Hard to tell if the poison will be real or not, but I'm at least expecting BB II to show up.

Am I the only one that’s a little curious as to why they added “appropriate for all ages” to the tagline on the back cover...?
I’m not going to lie, the cover’s really grown on me. I think that the saturation of the original image we got from Amazon must have been cranked up, or perhaps they switched out the background color? In any case, it feels a lot more dreary and Snicketish than the yellowy version we saw a few months back.
I’m a little disappointed that there seems to be no hardcover version of this, but in all honesty it doesn’t really matter at this point. It’s happening, people!!

Does anyone know if the digital publication will happen simultaneously the publication of the physical book? I can post you a physical copy if you really want, if you're willing to pay me for cost of postage and the book

Oh, Thank you bee! Let's see how the launch will be, if there will be digital publication and how much will cost. At the time of the publication, we can keep negotiation via PM.

Honestly it's been a while since I've read a book, let alone buy one. Gotta figure out how to buy a physical copy in Korea...the last time I bought a book was for ATWQ when I was still in Vancouver...
