The time has come again and again for the annual 667 awards, now in a record-breaking fourteenth year! This year’s host and the sixth overall, in recognition of having the highest trophy count since the awards began in 2008, is none other than me, Dante Rubens, veteran 667er, longtime Burdensome Books moderator, and general noteworthy. As such, in order to maintain the image others have constructed of me, I am immediately using my authority to mould these awards in my image. You may expect a number of minor changes to begin with – and some more dramatic ones later. I promise you, 667 will never be the same once I’m done…

1-5 March: Proposals for the Special Award; discussion; anticipation.
5-7: Voting on the Special Award category.
7-14: Nominations for all awards.
15: Recruitment of banner and presentation volunteers begins.
15-25: Voting for all awards.
25: Results sent to banner and presentation volunteers.
26-31: Interlude; final preparations; nail-biting.
1-3 April: Awards Ceremony.
3 April: Last words.

Best Thread: This award is given for the thread which has provided the most enjoyable posting content in the past year, specifically across multiple posts, not just or even not including the opening post. The award is accepted by the individual who opened the thread, regardless of their overall participation, on the grounds that a thread cannot accept an award.
Best Profile Decoration: This award is given to the member whose avatar, signature, or any other element of their profile, together or in combination, has afforded the most wonder, pleasure, or merriment in the past year.
Best Writing: This award is given for the best piece of creative writing, fanfiction or original, written in the past year; and by extension, to the member who created it. Prose, poem, and any other written format are acceptable, as are single chapters within a larger work.
Best Artist: This award is given to the member whose artistic work (specifically a visual work) exceeds all others in skill. It may be given on the basis of either a single work of art, or a body of multiple works.
Best New Member: This award is given to the most promising member to have joined in the last year, and is traditionally presented by the previous year’s winner.
Best Pairing: This award is given to the two members whose interactions, positive or negative, real or imagined, have been especially notable in the past year. It is not necessarily a shipping award or even an award for two people who have actually spoken to one another, just so long as their combination has left an indelible impression.
Best Organiser: This award is given to the member who has been the most competent at organising collaborative events in the past year.
The Dante Award for Best Volunteer: Named in honour of Dante Rubens, seven-times winner and thirteen-times nominee for this award, Best Volunteer is given to the member who has shown the greatest dedication to the works of Lemony Snicket in the past year.
Most Amusing: This award is given to the member considered to have been the funniest in the past year.
Most Compassionate: This award is given to the member who has shown the most kindness, support, and comfort in the past year.
Most Notorious: Notoriety is an indefinable quality, but you know it when you see it. This award is given to the member who has been the most infamous or left the most dubious legacy in the past year.
The Linda Rhaldeen Award for Most Valued Poster: Named in memory of Linda Rhaldeen, this award is given to the member whose presence or contributions 667ers have appreciated the most over the past year, for whatever reason.
Special Award 2021 - Ghastliest Gamer: The Special Award is a rotating award for which 667ers choose an entirely new criterion every year. 2021's Special Award category is Ghastliest Gamer. This award is given to the member most active, successful, or otherwise appreciated for their role in the many ongoing games in the rejuvenated Ghastly Games section in the past year.
