I'm obsessed with a cereal that is more sugar than anything and even when I know it's pure salsa I can't stop eating it. Is that bad?

I have no formed opinion on the matter. I think it's an interesting cause, and I like to think that I'm a person who cares about animals. At the same time, some drugs were created through animal testing, and these drugs in some cases saved human lives. I really consider human life more important than animal life. On the other hand, when I think about how animals suffer because of humans, especially because of raising animals for slaughter, I feel a little guilty for enjoying eating meat so much, and I know I'm contributing to all of this. So I try to ignore those feelings just like most people should. But how could I oppose those who decide not to look the other way like I do?

i think the greatest arguments for veganism are to do with excessive meat consumption's impact on 1) climate change and 2) human health. i also think it's essential to boycott the businesses that treat animals poorly. but i have little sympathy for the moral concept of not killing animals no matter what, or not taking their milk/eggs etc. it seems to me that, with the proper regulations, these animals have a far better life than they would ever have in the wild, and most importantly, they will have a much easier death.

I would like to be more vegan than I am because I feel sorry for the animals and the climate, but it seems like so much effort and also I like cheese.

Meat is actually good for you in moderation, we're not herbivores. True herbivores have: 1)no canines, instead they have a gap between the incisors and molars 2)a functional appendix, we only notice ours when it's trying to kill us 3)a proportionally large stomach, in some cases more than one stomach With that being said, animals should be harvested humanely and don't even get me started on animal testing or Seaworld. Also I'm fine with hunting for food(beats factory farming), but treating it as a "sport" is just sick.

Basically the exact same, I'm not even vegetarian anymore tbh because i feel better eating meat and also eating unrestricted, but you can't deny the evidence of how badly animals in industrial modern type farming are treated and the impact on the planet so I don't know really

i was vegan for many years, so was my brother (he still mostly is) and my parents were soooo annoyed by it lol. factory farms are bad i think everyone knows that but its not unnatural to consume animal products, just better to focus locally and minimize the processed bs. everyone could do better to eat less meats at least in the USA but access to healthy food is a systemic problem. i am finally warming up to eggs again, still not big on chicken, pork, cheese. beef is so yummy tho tbh. but i only eat it like once or twice a month at most. yogurt so healthy for u i cant believe how long i went without it. also a lot of vegan products are highly processed and not environmentally friendly either. like importing fruits and salsa from across the world is not so great for the planet, also everyone knows how wasteful almond milk and stuff is. looking at ingredients in soylent and beyond meat etc its like all nasty vegetable and seed oil biproducts just like crap we shouldn’t be consuming at that scale imo.

I mostly dislike meat for the fact it actually tastes gross. Most meal/foods that contain meat generally taste better if you remove the meat and replace it with something else - its the process of removing and/or creating a cheap alternative that can sometimes be difficult.

Dolphins are one of the few animals that kill for pleasure. I thought you said "that I kill for pleasure" and for the first time you creeped me out
