Yeah... I liked this book a lot, yet it seems so different to the other ones. Maybe because I was anticipating it so much. And the woman with hair but no beard and man with beard but no hair, I have heard about them somewhere.
P.S. Swans, I 'll be happy to discuss this book w/ you on todayg 9/24/03 at 7:00 P.M., in whatever time michigan runs by, its NOTTT central time though I wanna discuss this with someone too

Oh yeah.... I thought that Lemony's sister was the Baudelaire wife cause there were other hints, but the recipe thing (Sliced mangoes, etc.) proves it, in my opinion. Plus, could bruce be the bruce in TRR? the taxi driver? I think it is.

Injustice. In-Justice. Esme would call a fashionable judge an in justice Injustice.

the fashionable judge starts with an 'I' bacause for the qweustion on pg.91 one, it has all the intials of the clues, so the fashionable judge starts with 'I'.

Yay, I finished it ;D Thanks for putting the spoiler thing in your post on the last page... even if you were doing it mockingly AUGH... I was so mad at the book... you all remember the part when they give Violet a little "privacy"? Grr... I wanted to hear the gushy romanticness... This book did seem a little different... I can't quite put my finger on it... The waterfall was confusing too... I couldn't figure out how much of a slope it was supposed to be... at first, I pictured it almost vertical, but then they tobogganed down it... I wonder what this book would be like for someone who hasn't read the UE... a totally different experience...

I liked Quigley. Who do you think JS is? I think the last word, inJUSTICE, gives the clue for this one...

When did M say anything about injustice and JS?

What does that say about Justice Strauss being J.S?

Injustice? Where did that come from?
Hey, I was trying to think of SOMEthing to say about the book... a few things came to mind... Other discussions will spark different memories about the book...
Random: The white-faced ladies had a sibling. Relevant?

Thanks for explaining that... I read the thread but my brain was too small to process it No, I don't think the powder-faced women could be anyone we know. Who would it logically be, without any catches? Do you think that the location that Quigley yelled at the end was in fact Hotel Denoument? Or perhaps he meant some other place, and they'll end up looking for each other in different places... Oh! Has anyone looked for the next clue thing in the picture in the back of the book? I think I'm going to go check right now...

Er, who knows.. but maybe their family name has been menioned. I've asked that question like a dozen times.. what do mushrooms have to do with a submarine? I'm assuming those are mushrooms? I didn't really spot anything else.. yeah, I've been thinking about that ever since I read the book...maybe its a prt thats missing from the Verbal Fridge Dialouge? Maybe the rest of the message was..er, hidden in the submarine? or...hmm,maybe...@ the Hotel Denouement...ah, I dont know. its difficult, I've never had such a difficult time in figuring out a clue. Im stuck. its a mystery...
