To Olaf: Yes, and brush your teeth while you're at it.
I don't see how it would've helped Mr. Snicket, anyway. Surely he knows where he and the book/title are? "If you do not know where you are, it is impossible to conduct a famous invasion."
I do wonder how exactly Olaf's plan works...

As with all Olaf's plans, then it will be ridiculously complicated, and will involve cruelty to children. I should say that our lengthy - and, some would say, tedious - investigations have been a trifle cruel in places.

I want to commend the moderators here for their great job of being harsh on the people who feel that they have to give away the title (although I already know it). It's good to have actual order in society- if you call this society- but still! Everything's being done alot better than other forums I've been to.

(I know it and I haven't given it away.......)
Internet Olaf...... There have been the same speculations with the Big Unfortunate Event as well..... hmmmmm.....
*shifty eyes* Stalker. STALKER. STALKER!!!!!!!
How can one not know where oneself is? It DOES seem a tad fishy.....
This is rediculously complicated, and most of us are children here (or children at heart at the very least). It IS cruel to have one smidgion of hope that you'll get a certain piece only to recieve a corner piece instead. And then there's the mysterious matter of my pieces disappearing for the entire day...... *shifty eyes*
And yes, Olaf:

Yeah, I got sick of the Spoilers thread and left. I don't want to the rest of TNN spoiled, so I didn't click the cover link. I just know the supposed "title"... I'm remaining here, it seems stupid to change threads to the spoiler thread when we're SO close to publication date.
It has been incredibly fun this past few months, and it has been a year to remember!

You could be locked in a windowless basement, or in the middle of entirely featureless wastelands. I'm leaning toward the former, if Olaf does indeed have Snicket in his clutches.
I've seen a few of the spoilers, but I shall look at them no more.

Aye. No more spoilers for me. I'm steering clear of that thread until I've read the book (and, incidentally, I won't be on 667 at all on the 18th until I've read the book).
Anyway... Who wants to speculate on what cover piece we'll get tomorrow? I think there are arguments for both the lower one and the upper one (definitely not the middle one). I think we'll get the bottom row piece, so that the last two pieces are farther away from each other.

I've been avoiding the Spoilers thread too.
As for pieces, I guess either of the top or bottom. Mr. Top Hat will most likely be last. They have to keep our interest until the 18th, right?

The cover was spoilt in the Aggravating Art section! Grr.
I think that we'll get the fire circle (top right) tomorrow. Dunno why. It's all guess work really.

Well, i ventured into the spoiler section. The spoilers really arent that good, just the title, rest of the cover, dedication, and back cover summary thing. It doesnt have any plot spoilers or anything, those are what i ahte the most.

I also think they'll probably give us the piece at the bottom. That one will apparently help us seem more of Fernald-or-look-alike's face, but it'll be partly hidden by the "by Lemony Snicket" banner.
I glanced at the blurry cover when it was first posted, and you can't tell who the top-hatted man is.

yah, the top-hatted man just looks like some random guy that we dont know yet, so nothing big.
But I think the guy at the bottom who you think is fernald could be Lemony, or he could be the top hatted man. I just think for some reason hes going to be on the cover.
But how awkward would it be if Lemony meat the Bauds, what would he say, "hi im Lemony Snicket and ive been following you around and writing books about the unfortunate events in your life." Or maybe Lemony didnt start following them or writing the books until after all of their unfortunate event were over. Pretty confusing stuff.

If Lemony met the Baudelaires, he could talk about himself in third person, or from his own point of view. I think he's writing the series after the events have happened, but as of now he's following the Baudelaires around taking notes. His notes are published for VFD to read before the series that we've read is published.
