Apparently, you have to click on each link in succession. That's what I did. The third time gave me the piece. Putting the final piece in gives you the title and the first chapter. YES! Success! I actually just went back three times and got it. Wahoo! |

It said that a gun will fall on the ground and will kill someone in Chapter 9 i think. This could be the gun that the Baudelaires drop and accidently kill someone!

i noticed that the bauds mum was wearing a red shawl at the opera and the woman on the cover is wearing a pink shawl maybe its faded or maybe its nothing

Wow! Kit's pregnant. heheheheeh i just remembered: Taxi Driver Disguise: photograph of new baby to show to passengers. Hmmmmm and Kit was posing as a taxi driver and has a "bun in the oven". I wonder who "knocked her up", hopefully not a villianous person. Hmmmmm who?

I thought they might give us the title here , but I wasn't expecting the first chapter. I like the "ripples in a pond" metaphor.

I wasn't expecting the first chapter either. AT ALL.
I simply don't have words for the blissful wonderfulness of it all, except to say that Mr. Snicket seems curiously low on self-references this chapter, except for the hurrying-out-of-the-opera-house remark. Oh, I don't know. Aaaauh.
We know now that the killing of someone by the Baudelaires was an accident. But, did we ever really think in our hearts that the opposite was true? today I overflow with sentimentality.
I think I started tearing up when Kit said she was pregnant.
