[glow=purple,2,300]I haven't read TGG yet, but because at least one person died/is injured in every book, and in TSS I guess leaves would count, then someone most likely will either leave/be injured/ or die in the last book. I don't think it will necessarily be one of the Bauds though[/glow]

I think Violet (remembering the promise to her parents), will sacrifice herself for Klaus and Sunny. Considering how many times the books have mentioned the promise, I think that will probably happen.

there are contradicting facts in the books: one says snicket does not know where the baudelaires are or if they are alive. then later, he references the bauds in the future tense. maybe he was fporeshadowing a later book...

I don't think any of the Baudelaires will die. In an interview a long time ago, I think with Nickelodeon, he said that the series would not end entirely happily, but it would not be a Hamlet ending either. I think one of them dying comes a little to close to Hammy.

Violet just seems the most likely to die to me. Don't know why, just seems most likely. She might snap and attack Olaf and die!

[glow=purple,2,300]I think that even though someone might not die, it is apparent that Klaus is to blame for something...because i think in TRR he said he'd lie awake at night because he didnt put Olaf in the cab or something. [/glow]

I'm pretty sure Handler was saying, "And Klaus would be sorry he didn't recognize it was Olaf and call the cab back immediately because all this other stuff happens in the next eleven books that sucks a lot." Not, "He wished he had called the cab back and gotten Olaf arrested so that Klaus himself didn't screw things up later."
And I stand by my Hamlet post.

Yah and he also mentioned that later on Violet would regret something too, so they're safe... And they can't kill a baby!
