That's what I thought too and then the border was flames. It's possible that the "Squiggly Line" is the pulse line from THH, and they're using this and this isn't what the cover will be like, but it's only part of the pulse line. It would help if we had a better picture of this "Squiggly Line".

Yeah, I have an inkling that they have simply reused the cover of THH.

That's what I just said. Anyhoo, that would work because they used orange already. I want Book the Twelfth to have a yellow spine here in america and the thirteenth a pine green or flame orange spine.

It seems the publishers have some aversion to publishing a book with a yellow spine. They use colors that are similar to those used already, particularly in this case, but they haven't used yellow.

One question: In terms of # of pages, illustrations and release dates, are all the books the same for every country?

Finally, something.
So, the spine appears to be orange.

Page numbers and illustrations are the same in America and the U.K. However, release dates are not (the U.K. gets the books a few days after America, although it used to be far worse (we didn't get TSS in the U.K. for about six months)).

And the thorns on THH were dark red on orange, whereas these are orange on dark red.
Edit: And on TEE, the thorns were orange on yellow.

Yeah, I have an inkling that they have simply reused the cover of THH. When the first teaser cover for TGG came out, it still had the snow gnats from TSS on it. They probably did it again for Book 12. But why go back to THH? I just noticed that the thorns are different too (dark thorns on orange background). This isn't THH cover being reused.

And the thorns on THH were dark red on orange, whereas these are orange on dark red. They were? *Checks copy of THH* They WERE! They were? *searches for library copy of TEE to check* Yup, it's true! *Compares picture to THH cover for more proof*

I still don't think this is the real cover... It's too much like past covers... It's BARELY different at all from thh/tee. It's like they combined the two covers and splashed a shade over the picture part of the cover.

For reference, here's the American TEE cover: And the THH one Note that the spine of book 12 is a different color from either of those, sort of between the two.

I suspect that that is what color the spine of the book will be. It looks cool! Edit: The only things that appear to be from a previous book are the two circles at the top, one with the Baudelaire Orphans, and the other with the Baudelaire Mansion, which are the one's from TGG.
