Note for JS

I'm not sure if anybody has asked this quesition and i'm sorry if some one has but.....

The Baudelaires kept saying the note was for Jacques Snicket, but all we know is that it was meant for someone with the initials of JS, could it be for Jerome Squalor. any ideas?

Yes people have asked this question before... I actually think JS is Justice Strauss.

The JS can't mean Justice Strauss because Justice is a title, not a first name.

I doubt it stands for Jerome Squalor becausehe's not part of V.F.D. because Jacques had to explain everything to him in his letter in LSUA page 122-124.

Well I think it IS Justice Strauss.

1. In the clue it says "Much INJUSTICE!!!!!!"
2. And perhaps her first name begins with a J.

There's no evidence for what her first name is, and because she didn't know that Olaf started the fire she may not be a VFDer.

We certainly can't ignore that possibility, but the evidence greatly favors Jacques Snicket, a verified VFDer. I think that the person who left the message for Jacques simply did not know he was dead; very few sane people leave coded refridgerator messages for those known to be deceased. Jerome Squalor, upon confronting a Verbal Fridge Dialogue, would fix himself a snack, scarcely noticing the initials in the jam. So it's most likely Jacques.

Well, I mean, this has nothing to do with the fact, but Lemony said in TSS, he left a pickle in the fridge at HQs, or something, out of a coded sandwich, maybe fixed for his brother. I think everyone in V.F.D got the news late that Jacques had gotten murdered. So it was probably left for Jacques, by accident of not knowing, but there is much of a chance that it was left for Justice Strauss, because of the clue, and indeed her first name might start with a J. But it's just my opinion.*shrugs*

hmm... i think it is more than likely Jaques Snicket, but you never, Jerome Squalor had tie ins with Jaques. Aunt Josephines husband was a member of VFD and her maiden name could have started with an S. and theres no evidence that shes dead. come on, she coulda swam to shore or back to the cave. I dont think its Justice Strauss, I just think shell be in TGG in another way.
