I think everyone pretty much agrees that The Theoretical Truth
1. is a dumb title (although, personally, I like it but not for a book title)
2. is not the actual title, for two reasons
a. it does not fit the pattern of previous novels
b. it would not have been leaked by HC in such a way
It is rather puzzling that this one site would mention any title for Book the 12th other than "The Nameless Novel." That's the only thing that has me concerned. Why would they do such a thing?

Being rumor spreaders? Trying to take credit for figuring out the title? Any number of odd reasons I'm sure.

IT'S THE " HORRID HOTEL!!!!"(or at least I think it is!) On the Nameless Novel website , there was an Abode' Acrobat Poster to Download and there a piece of paper with an upside-down faded heading reading "The Horrid Hotel" The only problem is that the heading was crossed out! Is it the real heading or is it one of Lemony Snickett's tricks!? What do you think? |

I think it's pretty obvious that it was crossed out because it's not the title. If you need additional evidence: "The Horrid Hotel" would be a rubbish title. Not only is it completely unoriginal and generic, it commits the ultimate sin of repeating previously-used initials.
It's really sad. I knew that people would take it this way.

I thought over what Dante said and I'd have agree with her. I don't think the author will announce the title until the release date( which is not to far away, thank goodness!) Did the author announce the book titles on the release day or before because he'll probably do the same this time. Also, all the books have the different repeating letters in the title( Bad Beggining, Reptile Room.) So it probably going to be the same. The previous titles have started with:'B.R.W.M.A.E.V.H.C.S.G', leaving: 'D.F.I.J.K.L.N.O.P.Q.T.U.X.Y.Z' all as headings for the next tile. So, the Horrific Hotel wouldn't be a title because H as already been used in The Hostile Hospital.

We've known the titles to all the previous books long before the release date - months and months. With TGG, then we only knew "The Grim Gr" for months, but we got the full title (released, I think, through quite ordinary channels) still a few months before the release date.

Plus, they wouldn't let the title slip in a daily clue, without even a task-puzzle to conceal it. Not after keeping it so secret for so long.

Yeah, I guess the "Male" icon under my name can mislead people who have grown too used to my non-existant constant trickery and disguise.

hey im new here so i dont really no whats going on, Im also on the website www.thenamelessnovel.com and on october fourth if you clicked the writting on the clue it brought you to a picture whitch has what seems to be the first chapter of book 12 and it seems to have the name too but its hard to see. I dont know if any of you saw it. So i think it could be something like the (horrid, horrible) hotel as well. |

We really doubt that The Horrid Hotel is the actual title. Read the last couple pages of this thread, and the recent pages of the big TheNamelessNovel.com one.
