Possibly, but if there were VFD books it'd be better to have them all consecutively: books 8 and 9 would be FF and DD respectively.

Here's what the U.K's aSoUE publishers have to say about B12 on their site: Book 12 in this grim series continues to follow the miserable lives of the Baudelaire orphans: Violet, Klaus and Sunny. Lemony Snicket tells us that ‘the title and content of this terrible tome are far too distressing to reveal at present’ so the book is for now called The Nameless Novel. This book is so shrouded in secrecy that even we at Egmont don’t know what to expect. All we can say is that the title of the book will only be revealed when it's launched at 3pm on October 18thEh... The URL is one of those glitchy ones which won't link properly. Just go to www.egmont.co.uk, and the advert should be right at the top of the page.

I think the title is either The Horrible Hotel or The Horrid Hotel.

I don't think it's one of those, because H is already used.(The Hostile Hospital)

How about a title whose place-name is some PART of a hotel?
The Lurid Lobby?
The Languishing Laundry?
The Treacherous Terrace?
I can think of lots more, but they start with initials already used (mezzanine, restaurant, etc.)

I think the L_____ Lobby is a good possibility, as the front cover appears to show a lobby, with a concierge's desk. I'd suggest "corridor" based on the first two tasks, but Snicket's already used a C.

I think the title is either The Horrible Hotel or The Horrid Hotel. Of course people like you would think that.

I think that L----- Lobby is a distinct possibility... But I'm biased, as I was one of the first to suggest the front cover was set in a lobby, and I just like the sound of it.

The title could also be The F_____ Foyer(fearful, fiery, etc), because I think a foyer is pretty much the same thing as a lobby.

Recalling today's new Handler interview, possibly The Fraught Foyer (a lot of the adjectives in that last part of the interview sounded very carefully chosen, to me).

Since he mentioned the setting being "inhospitable", The Inhospitable Inn is another possibility. Also, since he called the title "perilous", that could be the adjective actually used for the title. But what's a hotel-related location beginning with P?

"Plaza" just randomly came into my head. I'm sure there are others, but I have a pretty bad headache, and I have to get off the computer now.

Parlor? (that was used for the board game, though) Piazza? (same thing as a plaza) Playroom? (no) Pub? (that sounds fairly hospitable, though)
OH! I just thought of more L-hotel related words -- LOUNGE and LODGE.
(Interesting note: on Thesaurus.com one of the synonyms for "hotel" is "spa." Handler mentions a spa in the interview on ls.com. Too bad S was used already.)
