I agree; some thought Book 13 might have a fiery border, but now Book 12 does, which rules out that same design for 13. What could Book 13's border be? Eyes, again? VFD insignias? Tiny sugar bowls?

V.F.D. insignias or sugar bowls sound good (although I think I once speculated the latter for B12). The trouble is, we don't really have much of a clue what to expect from B13.

I think I might skip ahead to the end of Book 12 when I get it, so I can start guessing at what Book 13 may hold.
And I wonder what color Book 13's spine will be. There hasn't been a book with a yellow spine in the US editions, so it might be that...(I've suspected that the past four books or so would be yellow).

I've never seen a green spine. Emerald green. Emerald green is VFD's color. The inside border would be tiny insignias.

The British TRR had a light green spine, and the British TAA a dark-ish green spine. Our spines were never as dark as the American editions, though. I guess using green again on our editions would look rather too much the same, although it would work with the American editions, I think. So if it is emerald green, I'm saying, the British edition would probably have a different spine colour. It's a pity, really, as we've covered most colours on the British editions. We haven't had black, though (although it might not look too good with our patterns).

In the US editions, though, TWW had a green spine. However, I think it's more of a dark teal than a pure emerald green. So the spine of B13 might be emerald green or yellow in the US editions, and black on the UK editions. And some have speculated that it'll actually be multicolored, possibly red and yellow and orange in fiery patterns.

I just want a color that is not too ugly. I mixture of different binding colors and thorn colors (American Editions) would be nice, as we have had only one main color for TSS, TGG, and Book Twelve.

Oh yes a color blend would RAWK! (I'm standing by the tiny insignias, tho.)

I was just thinking...the woman in TGG that led Widdershins and Phil away from the Queequeg. She was almost certainly a volunteer, probably from the good side, eh? Well, I was thinking that her character would probably one of those people who think they are always correct, someone who hasn't any qualms about fighting fire with fire against Olaf, someone who would leave the kids alone just so she could take Widdershins and the sugar bowl away. So yeah, I predict that we will meet a control freak VFDer who will ignore the children because their kids, and something disastrous will happen for it.

Today's Nameless Novel clue contains a possible red herring title - The Dastardly Denouement, one of the most frequently fan-suggested titles.

I was sure it would be the Dastardly Denouement. Since its our last not folder day thing and it was hidden well. Only the people that bothered to read it ALLl noticed it. But he's given us other red herrings before. And how exactly was the title already released? I dont want to know what it is yet, so its hard to figure it out without going to the spoiler thread. Was it on barnes and noble or something? please explain

Was it on barnes and noble or something? please explain 1. Some library with their card catalogue online had the title, or something. 2. Somebody got the book early as they work in a bookstore and put pictures in their blog. 3. Some stores are already selling it, to spite the rest of the world and get early profits.
