Personally, I'm hoping that book 13 doesn't turn out to be like the "selected answers" section of a math textbook, revealing solutions that take hard work to get. I think that Lemony will give us a few clues that don't seem particularly huge, but in fact tie everything together and resolve the mysteries fairly neatly, leaving only a small degree of ambiguity, just for flavor. Yes, he has to tie up the backstory of beatrice. He said he would. He also said he'd tell us who the baudelaire father was. And other stuff in that interview I forgot. (please don't post it again)

Well, I still don't think that the Bauds will get to Hotel Denoument until Book Thirteen..(although, I'm most likely wrong..) A lot of the books are only based over a period of a couple of days...and it's only Tuesday...! So, I think they'll have yet another adventure before getting to the Hotel D... Well, the "letters to the editor" were from Hotel D so, I would assume they get there in Book 12 for atleast a few chapters.

I think in the haste of discussing all elements of book 11 we (including me) forgot one key part of Quigley's telegram. The bauds are only going to briny beach to assist in a service that has desperate need for them. What is this service? It will probably be performed(and most likely interrupted) in early book 12. Any speculations? Gathering horseradish? Finding the sugarbowl in the hotel's laundryroom? Finding a possible second copy of the snicket file?

Hey guys, im new here. I dont have time to read all 8 pages, but I want to say this.
I think book 12 is going to be The Deadly Denoument.
I think theyll find the sugar bowl in book 12, and Olaf will burn down Hotel D.

Thank you! My thoughts exactly. Although there are other titles it could be and I doubt Lemony would make the title something that obvious.

If I got something wrong, tell me. You put R, which is The Reptile Room.

I would prefer a golden spine. But Hotel Denouement isn't that lousy is it?

Yes, I agree They have to meet Quigley on Tuesday, ugently, while they would be seeing him on Thursday at the meeting anyways I reckon they might try and track down Duncan, Isadora and Hector (the clue about the air in TGG) Also, praps the title for 12 is... chuckle... The Dozenth Disaster sooo, who's with me?

Also, praps the title for 12 is... chuckle... The Dozenth Disaster It's better than some that I've heard, but I would have thought that if he was going to refer to the number of the book, he'd leave that for the last one. The Threatening Thirteenth, or something like that. I wouldn't have thought he'd do it for Book 12.

The Dozenth Disaster? I doubt that. I think they're not going to try and track down Hector because they have important work to do at the hotel and elsewhere(they were required urgently for an important service says the telegram) I think it will be that they escape to the roof of the hotel during the hotel fire(you know it's going to burn down, Olaf always has his way) and Hector will end up rescuing them.

That's an interesting theory, Jacques. It implies that book 13 will tie up the loose end of the Quagmire/Hector subplot. Another possibility is that Hector will come to the hotel, trying to get to the meeting. It said somewhere in TGG that the Baudelaires will end up high above the ground, so I guess they'll get into Hector's balloon eventually.
I also doubt "The Dozenth Disaster" as a title.

That was my theory... Or at least, bits of it were...
And the important service might be tracking down Hector and the Quagmires, although I don't think so...

Off the top of my head, I'd say that the important service involves that precious sugar bowl, which is supposedly in the hotel's laundry room. They would have to either find it or make use of what's inside--likely both. Do you think the sugar bowl secret will be revealed in book 12? I hope so, but I doubt it somewhat.
