Actually, that theroy makes a lot of sense. Probavly to through of the trail of deducing the returning charactor, he skipped the first book with a returning charactor and instead did Bruce in TSS and Phil in TGG. I would think although that it would be likely that Justice Strauss would return in T?? (12) due to the JS clues, BUT than again it could be that Jerome makes a surprise reapperence in T??. I also think it likely that Hal or the VFDiesease lead singer will make a minor return in 13. Or Beatrice if prior theroy is correct. well those characters go 2-10 Bruce 4-11 Phil so maybe 6-12 ?

Perhaps. Or there's carmelita who's 5-10-11. So we may see someone from book 7 who may appear again in book 13...

Oh that's easy, Hector. Unless he dies. In book 12.
Aren't these theroies so depressing?

Yes, but Carmelita was not a minor charactor.

Yes, but Carmelita was not a minor charactor. She was minor compared to, say, Nero or Duncan or Isadora. I'd like it if Hector came back, of course. But for the sake of argueing, there weren't very many outstanding new characters in TVV, so the few neighbors and elders that are mentioned are of course, less important to the plot, as Carmelita was.

And Hotel Denouement, where the next book is set, is probably in the Baudelaires' home city... *also considers*

I never thought of that. I thought the hotel was someplace remote... <new consideration>

I would have to say Jermone Squalor. I mean, he was in Book the Sixth. And he was quite a minor character. Not as big as Esmé, but just as minor as the Doorman...I say.
So yeah, he could also have an importance to the storyline?

I can't see how. He has nothing to do with VFD other than him being a confused bystander who sees VFD stuff happen but is overwhelmed and has no idea what's going on.
