You're God now.
Bruce came back in TSS, and I can't help but wonder if it's meant to say "tenth book" but we can't rule it out now.
And we have confirmation of the book's location. Will they spend the whole book in Hotel Denouement? I hope not, as that would probably make me wrong on many, many counts.
The big end twist involves Beatrice, and some people have already figured it out?
I wonder which people.

Oh man, oh man, oh man. Those interviews just got me all hyped up for the 12th book.
And maybe the Beatrice thing is that whole "Is Beactrice really the mother of the Baudelaires?" theory?

Handler once said, upon being asked if there was any truth to the "Beatrice is the Baudelaire Mother" theory, that there was "Some truth, but not total truth." It seems to me that in Book the Thirteenth, we'll find out what he meant.
Maybe Beatrice was associated with the F.F.P.

I, too, like the fact that the location is confirmed. And I, too, wonder who comes back in the next book. I am so excited about the book. And I don't even know the title. *sobs*.

I am so excited about the book. And I don't even know the title. *sobs*. When do you think we'll find out the title? I'm hoping that there'll be a puzzle on LemonySnicket.com which will have the answer, just like they had for the TGG clue. Whatever happens, we'll probably have to wait a few months. Maybe four months. Or five, possibly.

Yes. I think we'll have to wait until, at least, late March.

His next book, the 12th in the 13-book series, will be out in the fall. The 13th book, he says, will have a twist.
“Some people have already figured it out. I’ll give you a clue. It involves Beatrice. In fact, that clue is in the books everywhere. It’s all right if everyone figures it out. I didn’t write these books in order to be subtle.’’
That is cool. Maybe it is like a code of some sort, with his dedications.

Oh well, there must be some (partly) reasonable explaination for this, since this IS ASoUE. Expect the unexpected. ;D

My personal theory on that is as follows: Beatrice was a nanny for the Baudelaires, and perhaps their relative as well. A kindly aunt on their father's side of the family, maybe. However, I'm not sure if I believe Handler's clue, but if it turns out not to be a red herring, this is the interpretation I'll go with.
There are even odder theories that involve Mr. Baudelaire having two wives, one of whom died so soon after Violet was born that she never met her, and the one he promptly remarried. Hence, Beatrice was the mother of some, but not all, of the children. There are several variants on this, all of which I find spurious.

I believe we shall witness Beatrice's death in book 13. In almost EVERY single dedication, he mentions how she is dead. So that is what he could mean with the its obvious. Second on the list is the baudelaire mom thing. Also, I kinda though the next book would be in the air, since that quote from TGG about spending time in the air. Maybe the hotel is a huge blimp, or maybe its INCREDIBLY tall. Meh. I kind of find it hard to believe that they will spend the entire time in a hotel. Seems kinda tame. I mean, look, they spend their time in a hospital, which burns, a carival as freaks, which burns, a mountains side... which also kinda burns, and now a submarine, which gets eaten by a giant mechanical octopus. And now a hotel? I can't imagine what could happen there. Unless Olaf turns up in another disguise again... How many bets that Hotel D will burn?

Oh. Em. Gee.
The Beatrice thing is love. This almost proves that we will find out what happens to her. *squee*

When did we find out when Olaf's henchmen had siblings? You know, the hook-handed man being Fernald and his sister being Fiona? Remember? It was a pretty central part of TGG? I think you need some sleep. Or needed it, anyway.
