Yes, for the last 2 books we've gotten the first chapter early. But since they're not going to tell us even the title until the day of release, I highly doubt they'll give us the whole first chapter.

Darn it, you had me all excited. I thought you actually had the first chapter.
Yeah, I doubt we'll get this one early. *sigh* 37 more days...

I thought thats what they were going to say too... hum, and I also doubt that they're going to give us any info, accept maybe through nameless novel until the release date. *sigh*

If someone had it early, I'd have to tie them up and force them to let me read it. Or just ask 'em nicely. Depends on how eager they are to share it.

Yeah, that is probably what's going on. If someone had it early, I'd have to tie them up and force them to let me read it. Or just ask 'em nicely. Depends on how eager they are to share it. haha

I remember when I asked the people at the bookstore if they had the title for Book the 12th back in July, (They had this card board cut-out thing advertising it out front.) and they told me that it wasn't being released until the book's release date I practically pitched a fit right there in the store. Needless to say I was upset about this unnecessary torture.

I imagine that even people working in bookstores don't know the title yet. The boxes the books come in probably only say "Book the Twelfth" on the outside and "Do not open until October 18". It's too bad that their core audience will be in school instead of the bookstores that day. Grand unveiling ruined by lack of attendees!
(I wish I could organize a field trip. Oh well, we'll watch it on the Today show.)

Yeah, but someone is bound to open a box early and news of the title and cover are bound to get out.

Okay, I'm taking my students to Barnes&Noble!!
Of course, it has to be educational. So we're going to have a bookseller give a presentation about the different literature genres. We're going to tour the store and then buy books to donate to Katrina victims. For me, the highlight of the trip will be to buy Book 12. This will all be part of our big Unfortunate Day celebration.

Well, I try. [/blushing]
Once I told my principal that we were going to buy books for Katrina victims, he could hardly say "No".
