Okay, I'm taking my students to Barnes&Noble!! Of course, it has to be educational. So we're going to have a bookseller give a presentation about the different literature genres. We're going to tour the store and then buy books to donate to Katrina victims. For me, the highlight of the trip will be to buy Book 12. This will all be part of our big Unfortunate Day celebration. Very nice. The very earliest I'll get Book the Twelfth is the evening of the 18th evening, if that...perhaps not even until the weekend.

Oh, the book will be released early in the morning. I just won't have access to it until later.

What do you mean by that? I can't drive. Sadly, my parents are pretty much my only resource. I could try asking them to buy it while I'm at school, but more than likely, they'll want to wait until the weekend.

Sorry, I guess I forget sometimes that not everyone drives. Too bad you have to wait.

Yeah, I could have taken drivers ed by now (I'm fifteen), but my parents insist that I must prove that I'm "responsible" before they let me take it. I turn 16 in November, so I should have been able to get my license then, but I won't be able to since my parents have yet to allow me to take drivers' ed. Ugh. How bothersome. And it doesn't help that I'm younger than everyone so pretty much everyone in my grade already has their license. Oh well. Hopefully I can take drivers' ed over winter break (my parents have hinted towards that...) and then get as soon as possible after that...but until then, I must start working on my parents to try and buy me Book the Twelfth on the eighteenth! (Well, not really buy me, b/c I'm buying it with my own money and whatnot...I want far too many books; they refuse to buy most of them for me...but I need them to pick it up...) Anyway, I'll stop rambling now...so, yeah. Hopefully I can get it on the eighteenth.

I also thought for a nanosecond that this thread might actually have chapter one. And like Gigi I'm rather confused over why they continue to release the popular CHILDREN'S books on weekdays, when children are in school. It makes pretty much no sense.
And right now I pretty much hate namelessnovel. It's a cheap ploy they used to try and get us excited and it's given us virtually nothing useful, not even the darned TITLE. They could've at least had that or the first chapte.

I just asked in my local bookshop when they'd begin selling it. It won't be here till November! Hopefully, I'll get it somewhere else.

I'll try not to get into a row with my parents so I can get it right after school, and hopefully I won't have any meetings that day.

We've all had the "I'll be getting the book then or then or then" conversation quite a few times. Can we leave it to the Countdown thread now, please? (I realise that I'm being something of a hypocrite here, but I've realised the error of my ways.)
