Sorry if this a completely pointless post, but I don't think it is.
I was just wondering if anyone else is freaking out totally and completely about the 19th. Personally, I'm getting worried that The Nameless Novel is what it's going to be called, and that there's going to be nothing in the book, or that we're all going to anticipate the 19th of October, and we're going to find out it was the 19th of next year or something terrible like that!

I would have to agree. Mystery the third (on http://www.thenamelessnovel.com) was a few days ago and it appears to be the cover of the book. I dont think Lemony... -ahem-, Daniel, whatever would let his fans down like this,

Also the 13th would be known as something like TNN until it's release date.

The worst-case scenario for me would be if TNN.com turned out to be a huge red herring, utterly useless and false. And if Kit Snicket turned out to be the Baudelaire mother, or some ridiculous twist of that sort that renders much of our theorizing useless. But I don't think anything like that is going to happen.

18th October, people. That's Eighteenth.
What I'm anticipating: Mystery the Third doesn't give us enough of the cover to show the title. However, the site itself and an extremely recent AuthorTracker e-mail imply that the title will be released on the site. Currently, I'm just waiting until October before I make any guesses.
Realistic worst-case scenario: We don't get the title on the site, and all the non-Mystery information we've been given is fake.

I'm concerned that TNN.com is made for what should be the SECOND last book, making me think that Book the 12th will be the final book as something unfortunate will happen to Mr. Snicket meaning book 13 will not be published which will, indeed, be an unfortunate event..... Breathe out!
But seriously, why book TWELVE and not THIRTEEN have a special website... Hmmm....

Book Thirteen will probably (hopefully) have something even better. Don't get all worked up. There will be thirteen books (or else Handler will have an awful lot of people to answer to).

I guess you're right. But I still think it's weird. Anything could happen especially with a series of unfortunate events... Worst case scenario is that it IS all a red herring, I will not be happy if it is. If there a site for book 13 I expect it will be far more mysterious and not give as much information away. Andrew

thenamelessnovel.com has barely given anything away. All it's really told us that's important is that Hotel D burns down, and we pretty much knew that from The Grim Grotto anyway. All that other stuff - the elevators, Indian food, et cetera, tell us nothing for now and are only fun little bits allowing us to speculate. I do wish that the site were much more challenging, though. It's easy as hell.

Why should it be locked? Are we all censorship-promoting Nazis? Just kidding, but I really don't see a reason to lock it.
