No, neither do I.

Since when did you lot tell me what to do? This isn't a democracy.

I don't know. He has a touch 'DOCTOR DOOM' about him.
Just kidding, Dante.

I think it's more of an aristocracy, Dante being an aristocrat.

Back on topic: I have another fear about book 12(or 13, possibly) that seems almost plausible, that one of these two possibilities will be the case: 1. We'll learn nothing at all about VFD. 2. We'll have the answers to most of the mysteries revealed to us flat-out, thus putting a damper on future theorizing.

We'll learn nothing at all about who the Baudelaire mother is. Even though everyone knows it is Beatrice and everyone won't just admit it.

1. We'll learn nothing at all about VFD. 2. We'll have the answers to most of the mysteries revealed to us flat-out, thus putting a damper on future theorizing. The first one doesn't seem too likely, but I guess it is possible. If Handler's just going to give us enough to work it out, as he's said he might, then he might already have given us enough about V.F.D. As for the second one - it brings an example to my mind. Kit Snicket. Her name was just flat given to us in TGG, but I was expecting it either to come from her or for there to be a little rambling about it. So that second theory could happen. That'd be pretty bad. As for number 3, everyone except Jacques knows it's not Beatrice(Just kidding, Jacques.)

It'd be annoying if, say, we had the names of the Sinister Duo just given to us, as happened with Kit's. Ideally, we'd get just enough information to piece things together, a few connecting clues that we might not immediately note the significance of.

Yes. I hope the names of the sinister duo are not just flat-out given to us; that would be terrible!

And yet, I keep having a feeling that someone like Mr. Poe will come along and say their names because he's a dimwit and doesn't know about their Aura of Menace.
But hopefully Handler won't do that.

If the sinister duo's names are given to us, I hope it's an a dramatic introduction by the beardless woman and the hairless man themselves. Although if that happens, it'd be nice to get hints about their identities over time beforehand.

It'd be nice if they gave us more evidence as to whether those two are related to Olaf or not, without directly stating it.
