TBB: Rare Edition
The notes suggest that Violet meets the FFP on her third visit to Briny Beach in Book13. It also mentions an island in the last book.

Seeing as the chapter of the first book wasn't her first time at briny beach its probably a red herring

Wait, how do you know that it's going to take place "On an Island"? I saw no mentioning of that anywhere, and no hints, either.

The relevant annotation is: p.153 A certain island has a law that forbids anyone from removing its fruit.
Please see my not to pages 116-117.
The notes for pages 116-117 mention the pirates and how Violet might have met them on her third visit to Briny Beach, implying a connection between them and the island.

I doubt we'll return to briny beach again, come to think of it I would be very satisfied if the TGG ending was the ending for the whole series, well minus the whole Kit thing. . . Do you doubt such a thing? I wouldn't as it mentioned "the Baudelaires' third visit to Briny Beach" and that particular bbre notation referred you to "book the thirteenth assuming I ever live long enough to write such a book."-Snicket, obviously. And I thought about the red herring but the notes also mentioned the stone violet picked up on her "second visit" being the same one she picked up on her "first visit" so for those notes we're presuming that the 1st visit is in tbb, the second was obviously in tgg, and the third will be in 13.

The Bauds and Olaf will probably end up on the idland after endless hours of rowing. Dont know how theyd get back to Briny Beach. Itll probably be some weird Snickety way, or probably the sshamh

the sshamh would be nice. The Prospero could spot the 4 criminals and take them for trial and some VFDers could come and rescue the bauds/capture Olaf or something farfetched like that...

I dont think the Prospero will re-appear, but it is still a possibility. Depending on how long its been since the Bauds have been with Uncle Monty, the ship could still be in Peru, or on its way back.

I doubt it's still on the same charter it was, the time between those two books has been quite some time, and why isn't it possible that we should see it again? Many people are convinced we'll see it again.

I dont think the series is over after the b13. It just cant be. Where's the mystery in that? Plus how can ALL the questions be answered in one book, unless he doesn't plan to answer them...

I'm not entirely sure if he does plan to answer them. He said in a very famous interview that he might just give us enough clues to work it all out (he may already have done this for V.F.D.), and it's looking like many of the minor mysteries in the series, such as questions of people's surnames or parentage, aren't going to be answered at all. And Book the Thirteenth will definitely be the last book in A Series of Unfortunate Events - it's been stated many times that there will be only thirteen books, thirteen is an unlucky number also used for the number of chapters in each book, TPP made numerous references to series of thirteen books, and the title of TPP alone makes it clear that Book the Thirteenth will also be Book the Last. Handler could do more supplementary books like the U.A. to answer questions (he may be doing this with NNotations), or he could do spin-offs (which we'd probably hate him for), but the Baudelaires' story ends in Book the Thirteenth.

As the books are getting larger each time there may be enough room to answer the most important questions, although he also has to wrap up the Baudelaire's story at the same time and make it interesting for all the loyal fans:) I was under the impression that Snicket/Handler had said "All will be revealed" and that it wouldn't be cryptic, ( if I am mistaken I humbly apologise)

I'd like the books to end with a certain amount of mystery. If we were handed everything on a plate, what would be the fun of that?!
