whoever said that they were just friends ruined the excitement for me!!! i dont think they are married but you never know!!! i think they were in love though. its really said though how he died and said her name. someone said that he might not be dead and he went to to underwater library. i like this theory. it probaly is wrong but i like it anyway!!! lemony said that he did die but lemony has led us in the wrong direction b4. he might. it is possible that he survived the injurry.

No!!! he's dead!!! You can't just pull a harpoon out of your chest and be cured!!! Not to mention if the harpoon did not kill him, surely it injured him enough to make him drown

I choose to believe they are married. In Quebec,Canada many women keep their maiden names.(is not implying that the series happens in Quebec. Winnipeg is on my list though... )

I don't think it matters whether they were married or not. They loved each other and had a baby together, that's all we're told.

Or is it his baby...*shifty eyes* it is implied that he loved her, but not that the baby is his.... nahh it probably is his baby but still, we shouldn't jump to conclusions

They weren't married. I can tell. Besides, it's even more tragic that he died if she wasn't married to him as we all know how things change once two people marry.

If you're talking about what you read on the Unofficial FAQ, could you show us the page where it says that, please?
And you can't believe everything you read in the Unofficial FAQ. A lot of it is complete nonsense.

And you can't believe everything you read in the Unofficial FAQ. A lot of it is complete nonsense. Biased for 667, Dante? I like FAQ. But that may be right, I can't remember where it was in the series so it's probably not true. I thought I was on to something.

I think that Kit and Dewey are married because I doubt that they would have a child out of wedlock.

Kit introduces herself as Kit Snicket. If she were married, it is likely she would have introduced herself as Kit Denouement. I have considered that Kit introduced herself as Snicket, so as not to confuse the Baudelaires, not unlike when your mother has to use her maiden name when she runs into people she went to school with. However, Kit was pregnant with Dewey's baby...I wonder if Mr. Snicket would write about unmarried pregnancy.

What she thought that it was Ernest or Frank's baby when it was really Dewey's? It happens. I saw something like it on the news.
No, not really. She must know it's Dewey's. ;D
