I mean come on, thwey had to have a little luck to run into Quigly. He supposed to be dead! And they're spending a lot less time with Olaf now. What does everyone think

yeah they are spending less time with Olaf but that doesnt mean that they are getting luckier because now whn they run into Olaf it is really close calls like when they had to hide under his car. And I dont think its that lucky that they met Quigley... well I guess it is... but now they just have one more UNFORTUNATE person that has to deal with their problems

I think they're pretty lucky to begin with. They still have the fortune. They are still ALIVE. They are still together! That seems pretty lucky to me .....

Dude at the start, their parents were dead and their house burned down. NOOOOOW theyr hunted by the police, Olaf is presumed dead, the VFD headquarters is burnt and two quagmires r trapped in a ballooon. Monty and Josephine r dead Aswell as Jaques. And now they meet two ppl who r more evil than Olaf and you say their getting luckier? Their luck is DYING ppl. If anything, its getting worse.

well, after losing one or two of your parents and losing your own home, it cant get much worse.. It can only go upwards now, unless one of the baud. dies or something..

I stand by what I said:
A the start, their house and parents are gone,
Now, they are framed for murder, Olaf is presumed dead,
Olivia, Monty, Josephine and Jaques are dead,
Quagmires are trapped in a self sustaining balloon, the VFD quarters are gone, Olaf has the Snicket File, and they are currently in a raging river about to drown, and they lost Quigley. Things are slowly getting worse and worse...

They're getting more independent; they can survive on their own, which makes them luckier.
The Quagmires aren't trapped, as it happens - they have a rope ladder, they can come down whenever they want.
And the Baudelaires aren't about to drown, they're about to get into a V.F.D. submarine after having missed an opportunity to read fragments of a publication that they would have found very helpful.

um if you remember the rope ladder is damaged at the end of TVVso if they tried to climb down they'd probably fall to their doom.

I mean, didn't they have a vat of jam, or something equally silly, which was among the things punctured by Esmé's harpoon? If they've got that, then they've got more rope. |
