It could make something along the lines of: TW OCAL LEDBEAT RICEIt would certainly fit. My only other thought is that they would just have the letters of a scrambled phrase, or some sort of anagram. Maybe that deals with that extra face on The Beatrice Letters cover. I dont think so all that much, but its just a thought. |

Yea, that's the thing. TWO CALLED BEATRICE would make sense for TBL, but these videos are promoting The End. So it could be something else.

No, Gigi, I think you have it absolutely right on. The triangles are certainly signals of a code, since they occur in both videos, and are a hint to the shape of the final solution to the code. The letters fit together perfectly to form the message "TWO CALLED BEATRICE." In my humble opinion, there won't be any anagram.

If "Two Called Beatrice" is the secret message or code then I can only assume one or both Beatrices are going to feature heavily in The End.

When they talk about Lemony Snicket spreading, the image displayed is a map of Eniwetok Lagoon, which is a real lagoon in the Pacific Ocean. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eniwetok Also, the following images show up in the film:   <<Shows up twice.>>   They may just be random things to give it the 'old, crappy sex-ed video' look. But who knows? Oh, and the letters on the triangle in this video look COMPLETLEY edited in, so there must be some reason for their being there:  Also, Mr. Sebald died during.before The Reptile Room. The videos are HarperCollins promotions, not canonical Snicket material. I'd expect the names were just picked to tie in with the series and give the film's title screen a little more verisimilitude (both to real life, and to the series). Neither Handler nor Snicket's names appear in the "About the Videos" credits, and I'm fairly confident he wasn't involved in their making. (And even if they did, Sebald's already implicated in at least one chronological inconsistency, so it wouldn't be too hard to dismiss it.) Edit: This post sounds quite blunt, but I don't mean to be; I apologise. I simply feel that a search for evidence in some places will not be beneficial and will end up being more trouble than it's worth. |

Silly parents  . I think that Gigi's idea is much better. I have originally thought about something like 'Twins Calling Beatrice' as I couldn't deal with 'CAL' in my schema(e?). Yeah..sorry. I was thinking too much about it.  |
