What about "Twin Called Beatrice"?
This would suggest that there is one twin called Beatrice.
Oh and is this what Snicket was implying in TPP when he said that there was a previously unknown sibling watching over them? (the laterally inverted words)

As Gigi recently noted, a Book Blast e-mail today gave the title and a handful of details about the last Vile Video.

Just seen the video, and indeed it is "two called beatrice". Nothing else of interest in the video apart from the fact that we see an actual copy of the book.

I loved that video!
Lemony Snicket was there ... as always we neva get to see his face. In fact I'm sure it was Lemony Snicket in the 2nd Video (one scene when the narrator refers to himself and we see someone in a hat running away)
The odd thing is that the book The End had a blue spine instead.
(I am now leaving the boards so as not to be spoiled - cya soon!)

(I'm sure Setnick will mention it, but they misspelled "despair". It has an e in it, not an i.) I loved that video! Definitely my favorite of the three! I was right about Two Called Beatrice. Now they need to give us the details about what that means. Scream and Run Away has always been my favorite song of the audiobook songs. I really enjoyed watching Handler with those signs. I can't imagine how many takes they had to do to get the timing right. And yes, that definitely is Daniel Handler. I took some screen shots. They are a bit dark, but you can easily recognize him when you get a still frame. And I think my favorite shot is the end, when he's running down the hall into the shadows. The way the shadows fall look like a guillotine. Do you like my new avatar?

That video was my favorite, as well. Handler was great in this one.

The 3rd video was the best!!! ... a little note here: Why did that copy of The End has a grey spine, not a tan spine like the pictures we saw?
And Gigi is right-- that's Daniel Handler! Actual proof that Mr. Snicket is also Daniel Handler, although we already knew that........

It's like an omen. Incidentally, my predicted date for the final video is October 10th, for at least two reasons, but whenever I predict something these days it turns out wrong, so I've probably jinxed it.But as I've said, my sensible reasons have been very wrong in the past. It could well be tomorrow.Near enough. I swear they do this just to antagonise me. I thought that the copy of The End thrown in looked like it had more of a grey-ish spine. Actually, it looked kinda weird - maybe they edited it slightly because of the lighting and the spine suffered in the transition. Anyway, yeah, code solved. And I suppose the video could be mentioned in the TBL discussion thread as a reinforcement of the book's premise.

Dante, please don't ever speculate about my imminent death or some other tragedy. Now I've got goosebumps. As for the gray spine: The video is shot in black and white. The only color is the covers of the two books. I think they did that for emphasis and just made the spine gray as well. It seems like a stretch, but that's my only idea as to why there is a gray spine. Or, this video was shot a while ago and both books are mock-ups. (Maybe they hadn't decided on a spine color yet.) If you look at TBL, it doesn't have the cut-out letters on the cover.

That does seem possible- or maybe they used the covers from their website, and just "pasted" those on. The spine does seem to be just black-white toned.

I tried to go through the part where the book is dropped frame by frame. (pause/play/pause/play/pause/play in rapid succession) The spine seems to be consistently gray all the way through. To me, that means the actual book was gray and it wasn't done digitally afterward. (Why do we pick apart and speculate on all these tiny details? I laugh at us. )

I guess after all the mysteries and details in the books, we're so deep in ASOUE that VFD's growing on us! ;D
