zooming in makes the picture quality terrible and you can't read it.

How did someone end up with The End by pre-ordering from Amazon? Wouldn't they know not to release it until Friday the Thirteenth?

So, from where do all these characters come? I can only place a couple.
Friday - (goodness, I should know this) Ishmael - Moby-Dick Ariel - The Tempest Dr. Kurtz - ? Mrs. Marlow - ? Rabbi Bligh - ? Erewhon - ?

Erewhon is a play by Samuel Beckett about a utopia (translation of utopia = nowhere). Kurtz is a character in Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad, the story of which is narrated by a character named Marlow.
I am less sure about Rabbi Bligh. There was a William Bligh who was a sailor but I'm not sure if he is the person/character being referred to.

This post has major spoilers, and it desribes the outcome of ASoUE, so I'd advise it if you don't read this unless you want to be seriously spoiled.thequietworld.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=7626&st=0According to that: Kit Snicket dies. The Younger Beatrice is really Kit's baby, but she goes by Beatrice Baudelaire because the Baudelaires raise her after The End. Count Olaf dies. The Sugar Bowl remains a mystery left unsolved. Beatrice and Bertrand are both dead. There's 14 Chapters. It seems to be a reliable source, since Kerri (the one who took pictures of The End) says it's true.

"there are 13 chapters, and an add-on chapter at the end that concludes the series"
major spoilers below:
Do the Quagmires/Fernald/Fiona actually play a part in the book or is their fate just referenced?
no, the B children are just told what happens to them by Kit. It was also confirmed that Captain Widdershins was alive, and left the sub for VFD. Fiona and her brother reunited with Widdershins, and joined VFD. The quagmire triplets, Kit snicket, and the widdershin family try to repair the queequg (i forgot how to spell it) when it is sunk by the self-sustaining home that was popped from the sky by the eagles. Either the unknown sub (the giant ?) saved the triplets and the widdershins, or killed them. Kit and the Incredibly deadly viper escape and shipwreck on the island that the b's are on.

I don't really believe what Kerri says. It doesn't fit with TBL. BB mentions hearing Sunny on the radio, them telling her that they would've died in dispair, and it certainly doesn't seem like a newborn would remember that.
