Forget critera, the voice of the people counts ten-fold, as they are the ones complaining. Instead of saying" A certain number of posts, a good reputation, certain number of people who can recognize you, being liked, etc.", just have everyone vote on who gets in. Like those odd lodge meeting things where they all put a white or black ball in a sack and you never find out who blackballed you. And after we get all the liked people in and out of the way, we can have the polls done in the 'special forum' so that n00bs don't gang up and all vote yes so that they can get in.

All in all, every comment you have made has not been backed up by fact or flaw in the design of our special forum. It is nt at all a segregation, but a reunion of the more **Forum-ly developed members, to get in touch witht he days of old. They were happier then. Things were better. They just want some of that joy back.

If you bothered to read the thread over you'd notice that me and others keep saying this is a vain attempt to recapture the golden memories that the "veterans" have--and you have proven us completely and totally right.

This does not serve any practical purpose. This forum is going to be a place where the veterans are going to go and talk to each other and reminisce in days which are LONG GONE and DEAD instead of trying to make friends with the new members so that they can get rid of their disgusting "noobs = plague-ridden rats" mentality. I agree with Luna, post count is not a meter of quality. Having 100 quality posts is better that 1000 uninformative, pointless, or very short posts.

You realize that some people are always having to be around n00bs that think that they're always right and always will be to senior members who know the rules and try to enforce them. Sir, I'm sorry, but I do not agree with you on any of these points. True, I was not here in the "golden days", and I must say I admire your attempts to preserve them, but have a secret section that you have to be voted into is pointless. The whole point of 667 Dark Avenue (I thought) is that all Snicket fans could come together and share their love for the books, and perhaps make some friends, who have similar interests. And, yes, the annoying n00bs who post things that are irrelevant, and poorly spelled, are becoming quite common, but couldn't we simply ban them if they are clogging up the boards? Honestly, we don't need to form a "secret club" and be clique-ish . That is, like, so thrid-grade.

And, it is impossible to regain the golden days, because you can not keep the non-annoying n00bs out, because we haven't been ... annoying! Therefore, you will have people who were not here in the golden days, and it will not be the same. It may be a sort of "silver days", but it will not be the golden days you so dearly hope you can go back too.

And, if you do somehow keep the non-annoying n00bs out, that is unfair, and immoral! Besides, I have noticed that some so-called "n00bs" were here from the start, and have simply created new annoying aliases to bother people.
