I also got nine.
If you went to bed at 8pm, and woke up at 9am that would mean you have 13 hours of sleep that night.

I went to bed at eight o'clock in the evening and wound up my clock and set the alarm to sound at nine o'clock in the morning. How many Hours of sleep do I get? Did your alarm sound then, or did you set the clock then? Either way, it seems like you slept for 13 hours. As for me, somewhere between 6 and 8 hours.

During the school year last year I got around 4 hours of sleep every day, but then I realized that I could go to bed soon after I got home and then I could wake up at 4 AM, do my homework, make my lunch, eat breakfast, and sometimes have time to sleep. So tht was around 12 hours.
During summer I go to bed anywhere between 8 PM and 2 AM and wake up at 8:30 AM. So that's andywhere from 6 and a half to 10 and a half hours of sleep.

I've heard this riddle before. I believe it depends on what kind of clock you build.

I heard, once, that 8 and a half hours is a good sleeping time. So that's what I try to achieve, though it's usually less, because I go to bed, then, I still lie there for goodness knows how long.

Since it's a wind-up clock and not a digital electric one, you'd only get ONE hour of sleep (provided that you went to sleep immediately at 8:00) because those old style alarm clocks are 12-hour clocks, not 24-hour clocks.
