Nothing matters as long as I get to see Esme in action.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the sequel is dead: June 17, 2005 issue, p. 13 (how appropriate!) Article title : ONE AND DONE: "Movie studios look at franchises the way Lay's regards potato chips. Somtimes, though, audiences can eat just one. Here's a tour of Hollywood's biggest delusions of grandeur." LEMONY SNICKET'S A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS: "The soul of Daniel Handler's children's series is his wry tone. Many fans missed it in Brad Silberling's coldly episodic (though visually stunning) adaptation." Also mentioned: "Van Helsing" and "The Hulk." LSASOUE made less money than either of these.

You're a tad late, I'm afraid, Dairy. We've already started discussing it in this thread. Never hurts to say stuff, though.

I also didn't check all the topics, just this one.

what are you talking about? I can't find it anymore, but somewhere on one of the Snicket Movie-related pages, there's a reference to a "Lemony Snicket II: The Tragic Tale Continues" or something like that. However, since I understand anyone can contribute to IMDB, then we should probably take it with a pinch of salt.

On Emily Browning's bio page, they have "Where are they now" and list her as filming the sequel in September 2005. That's only 2 months away and we've heard nothing about a script or casting or anything. imdb.com/name/nm0115161/bio

October or November 2005? There's no way that could be. Unless of course they were filming it in secret and not telling anyone. No, that's completely impossible.

The sequel will probably come out in late 2006, or for all we know it will take until 2007.
I searched "the tragic tale continues" and found only another site linking to IMDB. Strange that we haven't heard anything else much about this alleged sequel.

movie 2: 5, 6 (Just cut out book 4, there's nothing important in there) I almost agree I think it should be Lemony snicket's a Series of unfortunate events: the situation worsens 5, 6, 7 Lemony snicket's a Series of unfortunate events: the Dilema Deepens 8, 9, 10 Lemony snicket's a Series of unfortunate events: the Crisis Concludes 11, 12, 13 that way 2 isn't too short and 3 isn't too long I agree. The second should be 5, 6, and 7 cause that concludes the Quags' kidnapping. 8,9, and 10 for the next one, cause those books are crucial to the plot. 11, 12, and thirteen..... Love it! That's perfect!

That's perfect! thankyou. I would like having the quag's story all in one movie instead of split up and the end of seven would make a good ending and leading into a sequal.
