This is exciting; I'm really looking forward to it. I also think I remember another 667 Deadly Sins story, written back in 2005. Someone should find it,

Chapter 2
The miserable expanse of UE stretched out before the sinners. The soil beneath their feet was cracked and dry. To their left was a forest, its trees half-dead. On the northern horizon was a body of water, though it was impossible to tell how large. The land sloped upwards into a hill on their right. They headed for the peak to get a better view.
Dante reached the top first, his face turning pale as he looked around. From what he could see, the land outside the UE wall was deserted. There was absolutely nothing other than a couple of shrubs for as far as the eye could see. He took off his glasses in astonishment. BSam and Trikip looked out towards the water. It was a shallow lake in the centre of the enclosure. “What’s that?” Charlotte asked, pointing. Shelly stood on her tiptoes to see. “On the other side of the lake?” Elle squinted. “I think they’re houses.” “We should head for them,” Tragedy said, taking charge. “Whoever lives there might be able to explain what’s happening.” They made their way back down the hill, meeting Mijahu halfway. “I… was just… almost…” he gasped. “Haven’t… so much exercise…” “Get used to it,” Shelly barked. “We’ve got a long way ahead of us.”
After a couple of hours walking, the sinners reached the lake. They stopped to drink and rest their legs. As Elle scooped a handful of the grimy water, she caught sight of her reflection. Even taking the horrible surroundings into account, she looked dishevelled and unkempt. She sighed and lay down on the bank. Grabbing a rock from the ground nearby, she began to scrape at the dirt. After a minute or two she had carved out a self-portrait. Her tears fell onto the mud, causing it to turn slushy. Here she was, stranded in a wasteland, yet she was still able to keep up her art. How had TK gotten that award? “It’s not fair,” she whispered through the tears. “Come on,” Tragedy announced, grinning at his choice of words. “It’s time to start walking again.”
Mijahu collapsed when they reached the small gathering of houses on the opposite side of the lake. Charlotte nearly tripped over him in her rush. She thought she could smell something cooking. It was to everyone’s dismay that what she could smell were the houses themselves. They had been burnt out recently and were still smoking. Shelly screamed in fury and picked up a rock to smash a window. “What now?” BSam and Trikip asked in unison.
Lacking any other kind of plan, the sinners decided to camp out here for the night. Mijahu, Charlotte and Shelly raided the homes for any unburnt food. Tragedy and Dante scoured the area for survivors. BSam and Trikip collected as much water as possible from the lake. Elle went into the forest alone to get firewood. When she was out of sight of the others, she sat down on a log and started to cry. This was horrible. She was trapped in a remote hideaway with seven awful people and she realised it was her fault. “It’s my fault,” she said aloud. “I’m being punished, aren’t I?” “Yes.”
As night fell, the sinners gathered close together. They had eaten in silence and were getting ready to sleep. “Has anyone seen Elle?” Mijahu asked. They looked around, but there was nobody else for miles.

That last chapter was so suspenseful. I'm excited-- and a bit nervous --to see what happens next.

Chapter 3
Dante sat down beside the lake and put his head in his hands. Elle had been missing since last night and the rest of the sinners had been searching for her all morning. Dante filled up a flask he had found in one of the UE houses. Those buildings reminded him of his favourite author, the man he had devoted his life’s work to, Lemony Snicket. He swelled with pride as he thought about all the theories and essays that he had published in the past. His pleasure was short-lived, however, as he realised that it was in the past. For now, he was stuck in a deserted hell with only imbeciles for company. He shook his head and got back to the search.
By sunset, there was still no sign of Elle. The group gathered at their makeshift campsite and decided what to do next. “Maybe we should just give up,” Mijahu said, rubbing his feet. “No!” BSam shouted. “We can’t!” Trikip shouted. They had a bet about who would find her first. “I just can’t believe she was stupid enough to wander off by herself in the first place,” Shelly said angrily. “I mean, what was she thinking?” “Well can we at least find some food?” Charlotte asked. “I’m starving.” “Mmm… Charlotte’s right,” Tragedy said, licking his lips. Dante sat slightly apart from the rest of the sinners, rolling his eyes. They were all idiots. There was a simple solution to this problem and only he could see it. “We leave first thing tomorrow morning,” he announced, standing. “We need to head back to the peak of that hill. We could see most of the enclosure from up there. If there’s any hope of finding Elle, that’s it.” He walked away, satisfied, as the others whined and ate.
The next morning Dante led the hike, though Trikip and BSam followed close behind. It took more than a few hours to reach the top because Mijahu kept falling behind. “Well?” Charlotte asked. “Can anyone see her?” The sinners looked in every direction but there was still no sign of Elle. Dante’s hopes faded. Things were looking grim. “How can she just disappear?” Tragedy asked. “There’s no way she would have left UE. She’d never make it.” Shelly shrieked in fury. “Pointless! What are we doing here? None of it makes any sense!” Fuming, she kicked a crooked dying tree to her side. With a creak, it collapsed and fell down on top of Shelly’s leg. She howled in agony. “Shelly!” Tragedy exclaimed, rushing to her side. The sinners gathered around her. Dante stood, mouth ajar, unable to believe what had just happened. He made his way over to her. “Get back!” Mijahu shouted at him. “This is your fault. We never should have come up here.” With no other options Dante stood back, shocked, and let the others attend to Shelly.
Carrying the wounded Shelly on their shoulders, the sinners made their way back to camp. Dante staggered far behind the group, lost in his thoughts. When they were back at the ruins, Charlotte took out a first aid kit she had found in one of the homes and began to work on Shelly’s leg. Dante kept walking, past the camp and into the forest. Mijahu looked up and saw him. Not wanting Dante to get lost like Elle, he followed. He found Dante sitting on the ground, tears rolling down his face. Mijahu sat beside him. “Look, Dante, I’m sorry for shouting at you up there. I didn’t mean what I said. We’re all just in shock. It’s been a rough couple of days.” “No,” Dante said, drying his eyes. “You were absolutely right. We could have continued looking for Elle on foot. I was just too proud to listen to anyone else’s ideas. What happened to Shelly; it was my fault.” Mijahu patted him on the back. “No hard feelings. Charlotte’s fixing her up as we speak. She won’t be happy but she’ll forgive you,” he said, smiling. “I’ll see you back at the camp.” After a couple of minutes struggling, Mijahu stood up and left Dante alone. He thought about what Mijahu had said. Maybe things would be alright and everybody wouldn’t hate him. He stood up, ready to return to the others. Before he could take another step, he heard a rustling noise in the leaves behind him. Startled, he turned around. “Who’s there?” he asked. “Elle, is that you?” “No. It’s not Elle,” a voice replied.
Mijahu got back to camp just as Charlotte finished tying Shelly’s bandages. “Where’s Dante?” BSam asked. “We saw you follow him into the forest,” Trikip said. “Don’t worry,” Mijahu said. “I’m sure he’ll be right behind me.” After a few hours of waiting, they began to get worried.
