You do make some good points. I think, the first time around, a talking to would probably be enough. Maybe discuss with the kid alternatives to how they could handle the situation. Make it clear that, while how the kid reacted was wrong, the teacher was also in the wrong. If it happens, again - then some discipline would probably be called for. Thank you, Quags. I like your ways of handling the situation as well. It's always important to let both people know when they're wrong, even if one of those people happens to be an adult. Oh, I'm all for it! After all, what does it matter if one prefers to spend the day in their pajamas when they have no other plans? Besides, donning your pajama pants in public seems to have been situating in the category of "socially acceptable" for several years now.

Welcome to 667 Dark Avenue, Andressa! I love your username. And how good it is to meet another Jerome fan! He is my favorite character, tied with Esme. And I like Fernald, too. Have you met LSWannaBe yet? She's also a huge fan of Uncle Monty. ;D

It's nice Hugo and Michelle both have the same favorite movie. And he's a fan of Harry Potter! Yay! ;D

I agree! Arielle Kebbel is charming! I love her nice chubby face and her beautiful smile! Yeah, me too! Her face was the first thing I noticed about her, actually. www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtSbnql66j8Can't you just imagine Monty getting drunk or high and doing something like this? Oh, God, I'll have that song stuck in my head for days now... OMG HE WOULD. To Cody. At her Brownies meeting. And embarrass her. To death. Will you write that as your next outtake, Beth? Please??? violet Marie: Aww, that's sweet that Michelle got so emotional during the viewing of her performance. I was expecting her to feel awkward about seeing herself on screen. It's nice that her friends kept her company when Hugo was unable to. The details about her sleeping with one of his shirts and he with a teddy bear were very sweet as well.

Also, I expect at least one heirloom sword to make an appearance, based on this. Hmm...I wonder if it's the same sword I'm thinking of? I like how you've combined the design of Japan's flag with what has always been my favorite of the eye insignias. I am also very impressed with your account of how the Japanese V.F.D. came into existence; pirates have been mentioned in ASoUE before, so the introduction of samurai fits perfectly into the canon. It's going to be interesting, as well, to see how the V.F.D. of Japan operates.

Uh, Veasna's a boy XD I'm not sure about the wig, but I do love it! <3 Yeah, I realized that as I was scrolling down the page hours after I posted and figured you'd corrected me. XD And I'm glad you like the wig idea.

Jamie Chung played Amber in Sucker Punch. That one is on my Netflix queue. It'll be available Tuesday, so hopefully I'll be seeing it by either Wednesday or Saturday. Gotta love films set in insane asylums!

I've never really listened to her music, either, but I was surprised to hear of her death, despite knowing what her lifestyle was like. I am very sorry that she died, and my heart and sympathies go out to her family and friends.
I hadn't realized that so many other musicians only lived to be twenty-seven. It's strange, because my friend and I were just talking about Janice Joplin last evening. Apparently, the director, Fernando Meirelles, might be doing a film about her.

colette: Ah, yes, I believe I heard of Jamie Chung when Dragonball: Evolution came out (I have a friend who's a fan of the anime). I also recall the trailer for the made-for-TV movie of Samurai Girl.beth: Jo is so smart and strong for never having touched a cigarette, despite having friends who smoked. Hopefully that will make it less likely that her children will - though I don't believe Cody or Dakota are smokers? violet Marie: I applaud Hugo for not smoking, and for never doing any serious drugs. It's really sad that his sister and aunt have both dealt with anorexia, but so good that they recovered. And I'm glad his mom's breast cancer is no longer an issue.

Oh, boy, now my head is really spinning! It's fine, though, as this merely heightens the mystery of things. I don't have much to add to what Dante and Sherry Ann have already said. I agree that K is one of the Higurashi orphans, which does seem to be the most likely conclusion judging by his/her journal entry. As for there being two R's, I think there must be; two R's, with two very different intentions.(?)

colette: True. beth: "Veasna" is such a pretty name, and its meaning is so fitting considering how she came to be Cody's daughter. Veasna sounds like she was quite the actress in her childhood, too. Aside from the pants, did she also sport the Goblin King's infamous blond wig, too?

beth: Poor Tony! Yeah, I mean, girls and women wear suits all the time. So why shouldn't Tony, or any boy, be able to wear dresses, if it makes them happy and it's who they are? If people have such a problem with it, then they need a good lesson in proper etiquette. If I was Tony, I'd wear my dress to prom and not worry about what anyone else will say or think, because I know that, whatever it is, they'll be wrong. I'll have to check out that video. The mother's friend sounds like an amazing person. violet Marie: Ugh, I hate it when stuff like that happens! I do hope there's a place every bit as good as Chick-Fil-A where Michelle can go to get her craving fix. colette: Oh, Arielle Kebbel is absolutely stunning! And what an adorable face! I can definitely see why you'd be flattered if anyone ever told you that you resembled her. @quags: Aww, that is so unfair! There's no reason why Miss Meyer can't play the Backstreet Boys for part of the trip, and then Led Zeppelin for the remainder, or vice-versa. I did find it funny, though, how Emily's imaginary friends also voted for Led Zeppelin. You really know how a kid's mind works, Quags, and would make a wonderful parent yourself.

I think, before the invention of radio and television, kids weren't exactly encouraged to read. It may be hard to believe, now - but it sort of makes sense, when you think of it. Although, there are still some parents who don't like their kids to read, too much. Schools probably encourage kids to read as much as they can, though. It's interesting how society's views can shift. Yeah, I don't expect you'd hear too many parents and other adults expressing concern for how kids spend their time before radio and television came along. It really amazes me that there are some parents who feel their kids read too much, but I believe it. TBH I wasn't all that much of a reader in high school and especially when I was younger, probably because to me reading reminded me too much of school, which I hated. But now that I'm an adult and away from teachers and classrooms, I enjoy reading for pure enjoyment. I remember, back when my mom was growing up and before children's safety became a huge issue, kids would spend the entire summer outdoors and not come home until dinnertime. Which, I imagine, was an activity that was on the same level as reading. Awesome, and take your time. I still need to go through Kittie's Funeral for Yesterday album. I haven't listened to it in about three years, but remembered there were a few songs on it that I liked, so I want to add them to the list before sending it to you. Oh, thank you! As it turns out, I am a fan of Lady GaGa, so this was very enjoyable for me. Alejandro + Avenged Sevenfold song = WIN. I noticed they have a few other mash-ups on there, too, as well as the original Welcome to the Family, so I'll be checking those out later. *laughs* Although my feet aren't tickled often, I'd have to say yes, they are really quite ticklish. I'll let out a high-pitched squeal every time someone tickles even just one of my feet. XD
