J: Even if D was planning to kill off one of them, he probably wouldn't. C: I mean, this book is read to 4 year olds. Yeah, I know many adults have been supposedly killed off, but people treat childrens' death a lot more serious than adults' death. J: I base this on the patheticness and sensitivity of society.

that was meaningless, just because ppl read these books to 4year olds doesnt mean hes wont kill one off.

Exactly. For once I agree with Snicket444. Duncan, Isadora, Hector, and Beatrice will die in the 13th or 12th book. That is what I believe.

J: A Series of Unfortunate Events cannot be too unfortunate. It'll upset parents. Weird, but true. I mean, lots of people complained about the first book, having read that book only! I could imagine the responses, the rants... "How could you have killed off those intrepid children? My kids are scarred for life! Waaah! Waaah! Let's burn you at the stake, you evil man!" Captiosus: Society's pathetic like that.

I agree about society but Handler will not let that interfere with what he writes.

Sometimes the censors won't give them a chance. I mean, I heard a comedian say he wasn't allowed to say "moron" because it's a medical term and it may offend people. -_-

So? It's his own work and he'll write what he wants. There are plenty of profane books out there and they're allowed to exist because of the 1st ammendment which is why Handler can write what he wants. I'm going to stop arguing now because I don't think Violet, Klaus, or Sunny will die later in the series.

He could write it, sure, but will it get passed the editors? Think about the ultrasensitive-ultastupid people of the world.

I agree about society but Handler will not let that interfere with what he writes. EXACTLY! If every author changed there books to suit the publisher books would suck.

Thank you, fire. I'm sure if his editor allowed an infant to be kidnapped, about six fires resulting in death, and the buying of itchy clothing to happen I'm sure she/he wouldn't have a problem with a sibling meeting the end.

I believe that Quigley will die. And it's not just because I hate him, either. So hmph! I think he'll die because in The Slippery Slope, millions of A Series of Unfortunate Events fans got attached to him and loved him to death. And what happened at the end of the book? He went beneath the water and didn't come back up.

Meh. In the picture at the end of TSS, you can see his head above water.

You can. And I believe there's a note at the end of the book that says they will see him again, right?
I know that once or twice LS has mentioned Violet or Klaus "years from now" but never mentions Sunny...
