That was awesome! I'm fascinated by the idea of how Volt was actually the driver of the taxi.

Really interesting! Of course Volt was, as well as Sir, the taxi--driver - who else could it have been? And Widdeshins is dead again. I'm beginning to think it may be significant that he was Volt's college roommate.
Now looking forward to seeing how Volt fares in The End.

Chapter 13 - The Real End
Violet, Klaus, Sunny and Beatrice were all floating on a raft in the middle of the ocean. They were starving, cold and tired. They had been on the sea for days, seen things they would never speak of again. They had almost given up hope. Then, as the sun rose over the horizon, they saw land. They started celebrating the changes of their bad fortune, until the celebrating woke up a family of hungry sharks. These sharks only ate human children, preferably unfortunate ones, so they were extremely violent. The orphans were doomed.
On the beach the orphans saw lay Volt Baudelaire, but he was not drunk or hungover. Earlier, he had driven the taxi he was in straight to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. He had been sober for 2 days, and was in the best mental shape of his life. He was relaxing on the beach, after a long day of volunteering his time towards reading the bible to blind orphans. He had a date with a lovely congresswoman later that night. He had really turned his life around. Then, he heard the crying of four young children, coming from the ocean. Because of his sobriety, his sense of hearing had heightened considerably, and he also recognized their voices. “That’s Violet, Klaus and Sunny, plus a baby I don’t know” he said with a newfound sense of commitment towards his nieces and nephews. He didn’t care about anything else, he just had to save them. He flew to the middle of the ocean, and saw three giant sharks.
Volt flew towards the first shark, punching it and sending a wave of electricity through it. He picked up the then dead shark, and beat the second shark to death with it. The third shark was so scared that it swam away. Volt flew down to the raft, and pushed it all the way to the shore. “Uncle Volt, you saved us” said Violet graciously. “lqwepoijk” said Sunny which meant something like “Oh no, I left my pacifier in the middle of the ocean. Volt, feeling heroic as ever, volunteered to swim out again to get it. Just as he reached the pacifier, the third shark reappeared, seeking revenge, and ate Volt. A single shock of electricity shot out of his finger, sending the pacifier directly to Sunny’s mouth. Volt tragically, and heroically, died.
Epilogue Violet, Klaus and Sunny were at Platform 9 ¾ with their respective spouses, Duncan, Isadora and lesbian Beatrice. They were sending their children off to Hogwarts. Violet’s son Bertrand and daughter Beatrice, Sunny’s adopted daughter Josephine, and Klaus’ Son Voltrand. “Say hi to Professor Longbottom for us” said Violet to her children. Sunny and Beatrice were snogging in the corner. It was Voltrand’s first year, and he was nervous. His older brothers and sisters had all been to Hogwarts before, but he was afraid. He went to his father Klaus, and asked “Dad, what if I accidentally kill somebody.” Klaus got down on his knee, put his hand on Voltrand’s shoulder and said “Voltrand Superman Baudelaire, you are named after my two heroes, one of whom accidentally killed a lot of people, and he was probably the bravest man I knew.” Klaus sent Voltrand onto the train, then said to the others “He’ll be alright. I know he will.” Young Volt then accidentally blew up the snack cart.

Awesome. You could say Volt went out with a bang, or at least a bolt of electricity. The Harry Potter-esque ending made me laugh; it looks like young Voltrand definitely takes after his uncle. ;D

A wonderful conclusion! I am so glad that Volt was able to redeem his life by a good death. The Harry Potter epilogue was brilliant, especially the bathos of the last line.
And Sunny/Beatrice, eh? Interesting idea.
