In a dark pub in a small suburb lay a book. Leafing through the book was a tall, brown haired man, accompanied by a huge glass of beer. “Shadowfane”,’twas entitled, written by the mysterious Marius J. Phelps. Suddenly the sound of a car screeching infiltrated the pub. The customers emitted a lazy group groan.
A tall man burst in, his long coat flying behind him. His glasses were askew, as was his hair. “Bartender! A coke! And be snappy about it!” he yelled.
Looking around, he noticed the man reading ‘Shadowfane’. Fireworks burst in his head. He’d actually seen someone reading his book.
“Excuse me,” he said. The man looked up. “BSam?!” “Oi, Peej.” He moaned. PJ banged a ring down on the table. BSam stared at it with a hazy glare for a while before finally realizing what it was.
His yell echoed through the pub for a quarter of an hour.

I originally read "pub" as "alleyway" (somehow), so it was pretty surreal when PJ demanded a drink.
And yeah, it's cool. Obviously.

Quite cool. I wonder what PJ's ring is?

He stared at PJ’s ring dumbly. It was just as grand as any of the other rings. Except for the ‘T’. Behind the ‘6-6-7’ was the letter ‘T’ carved out of pure emerald. Emerald for ambition. ‘T’ for Tragedy.
They landed at Heathrow at 6 pm and proceeded to the city to Akbar’s apartment in Knightsbridge. Derik was fascinated by London. The allure of the place grabbed him by the collar and shook him until he was thoroughly confused but utterly impressed.
“So, how long do we get to stay here?” he asked absentmindedly. “About a day” replied Akbar, sitting on the bus seat next to him, “I can’t wait. I’m really starting to miss New York.” “Why do you have apartment here, if you live in New York?” “Oh it’s useful for, er, business.” Thunder emanated from the sky. Akbar shivered, “Plus I love London and the apartment. I used to use it when I came up from Cambridge.” The conversation stopped at that when Derik noticed that the bus had stopped. “Come on, let’s go!” yelled Akbar from the stairs. Derik scrambled after him.
“Where are we?” asked Derik dazedly, as he stood staring up at the hulk of Selfridges. “Welcome, my friend” replied Akbar grandly, “, to Oxford Street! ”

A ring like that would be worth a fortune on the market. But what are they truly for?
And this is cool and mysterioius as ever, and it's great and good and, you know.

This is very cool and mysterious and funny indeed. What could the ring signify?

Cool. Ambition is also cool. I'm thinking some sort of key, or something.

Oh, Akbar (and I hope you don't mind me calling you that), I envy you!
Your writing is short, easy to read, and yet you use so much detail. I can picture everything perfectly, and I like all of the references to pinstripes. I'd give this story an 11 out of 10.(:
Please, please, write more!
