I actually just gave the pilot of Pushing Daisies a watch, since it was also directed by Sonnenfeld. Very good directing and yes, quite reminiscent of ASoUE. I don't think I'm going to continue watching the series for now, but I did enjoy it quite a bit. If anybody can't wait for the ASoUE Netflix series, maybe that show can hold you above water for the time being. It's a great show, in my opinion. Be warned, though: You will get less closure than any Snicket book ever gave you. |

That's good news, probably a summer or fall release then depending on exactly when they start filming. It's a bit disappointing that we'll have to wait a little while longer, but them taking all this time at least points to this being a well written and polished series.
Hopefully we get some more exciting news before the year is over. I'm more dying to hear casting announcements more than anything else, but that's probably two or three months away...

Summer/fall is maybe being overly optimistic; remember Netflix releases the entire season at once so it'll need to be all done, filming, editing and post-production. Most television shows began airing while they are still working on the season since it airs one episode at a time over a period of months.

I'm anticipating news for the show too I literally check like twice a day I just can't wait for a casting announcement and better yet a release date. When that day comes I'll be happier than when they first announced it.
