There seem to be no Snow Scouts 1 and 2.
(I suppose you could say Carmelita and Quigley were Snow Scouts 1 and 2, come to think of it.)

IMDb has now set the directors for season two:
The Austere Academy - Barry Sonnenfeld The Ersatz Elevator - Bo Welch The Vile Village - Barry Sonnenfeld The Hostile Hospital - Allan Arkush The Carnivorous Carnival - Loni Peristere
Yeah, apparently that script with Neil Patrick Harris as director was a trick. He was never mentioned in DGC production lists anyway... Now for season three, we know Jonathan Teplitzky directs The Slippery Slope. I wonder if Patrick Warburton's tweet suggesting Tommy Wiseau as a guest director is just another trick...

This isn't too important, but is Loni Peristere a man's name or a woman's? Forgive me, I'm just thinking out loud.

Cynthia Summers (the show's costume designer) posted this on her Instagram today. https://www.instagram.com/p/BeI6YoCnAxD :Edit: Wonder what set they're filming on now ? It's pretty hard to guess from the back.

It's really hard to tell what costumes or on the rack but it looks like they are jump suit like. So my mind instantly goes to the snow scouts or diving suits. Also the set looks like it has a curve to it so I would say it is a more natural set either a mountain or a cave.

Most likely. Considering how complex some of the special effects will need to be, I don't think they could even have them finished on time and still look decent, before at least the end of the year.

Seeing as how they didn't stick with a Friday the 13th release date for Season 2, I'd guess first quarter 2019 for Season 3. I don't think they'll push for the October 13th at the end of this year. That interpretation makes a great deal of sense. It would have been trivial to postpone Season 2 for a fortnight to hit that next Friday the 13th, but by abandoning that trend now it doesn't give the appearance of locking them into it for Season 3.

Given the filming completion date in May, perhaps it will be released around the same time S1 was.

Some small pieces of info about season 3 I got from the cast and crew's Instagrams: Dylan Kingwell had a live stream the other day in which he revealed that he was going to be filming the Violet/Quigley waterfall scene in a few days. He also revealed that he still does not know who's playing Fiona Widdershins. In the background of one of Malina Weissman's Instagram stories, you can briefly see one of the sets being built. One of the show's set builders also posted this behind the scenes photo of a set being made. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bd30iG5gDaf

Did he actually say Fiona Widdershins?
(Why does my spellchecker accept Klaus, but not Olaf or Fiona? Or indeed Widdershins, which is a perfectly respectable English word? It does accept Lemony, but not Snicket.)
