I figured it'd be best to group these by book. Here, discuss eps 9 & 10. It will be assumed you have seen episodes the entire season. Feel free to discuss your knowledge what happens beyond these eps (as far as the TV show and the book series are concerned), but please put that in a spoiler tag.

I never expected to have the biggest crush on Kevin. I’m not complaining.

I’m at the “House of Freaks” sequence. Wowww. What did we do to deserve such a fantastic series? I’m awestruck.

What a finale. After ten solid hours, I can happily say that season 2 finishes just as well as it began.
I think the use of video archives worked so well for a visual adaptation of the books, and it was really beautiful to see it in the crystal ball.
Extending the idea of V.F.D. having the same set of disguises into Madame Lulu being a role which is rotated among different members was really interesting, though of course I still prefer the book (I always do, even though I really love this adaptation), especially as it was so interesting to have Olivia be such a morally grey character instead of the noble librarian version we had here. That said, I think this version worked really well in the show, so I'm not complaining at all.
Colette's contortions ... Oh. My. Goodness. She was amazing!! I hope we get to see more of them in season 3.
I really liked Violet's voice as Beverly! And Sunny was an adorable Chabo.
THEY INCLUDED THE TAGLIATELLE GRANDE YES YES YES.
I'm really glad Violet's inventions stayed quite close to the book versions for most episodes, including TCC.
The costumes and sets in these episodes were insane -- which reminds me, the joke about Esmé's clothes having to be cut out of a circus tent was so funny!
I'm glad they included the Baudelaires' sympathy for the lions.
They really made the Baudelaires' moral struggles very touching and understandable, which I'm glad of.
The enddinggg -- Sunny's little face!!
Olaf's song was great!! I really love how much of a SHOW this series is -- they really go all out. Oh, and it was sweet to see NPH's family in the audience.
Oh, and Mr Poe's obliviousness is spot on.
Right. This has been amazing. I'm going to sit and think about it all, and hopefully soon re-watch the episodes more slowly. I'm so happy. This was everything I wanted.

Don't get me wrong, absolutely amazing finale...but that Allison Williams tease is just cruel. Like, if she is Kit, how would Lemony not know she was Madame Lulu at one point?

There is a scene in TCC about which I don’t know if I’m happy or sad they left it out - a scene that is one of the saddest in the books for me: when Vilet and Klaus explained to Sunny that one of their parents was most likely not alive. It was such a sad moment for me - all of a sudden, Sunny was not a very observant baby with an unusual way of speaking, but simply a very small child that noticed what was going on, had hopes that one of her parents was alive, and left tragically disappointed, hardly understanding how it suddenly could not have been as she hoped. And at the same time, I was incredibly sad for her older siblings, having to tell her the “bad news”.

OK, time for an actual comment now. NPH's husband and kids in the audience was so adorable, and I enjoyed spotting other recognizable people like the bearded man, Mrs. Bass, and the village elders. Speaking of Bass, she had already robbed her bank to get the bag of money, but now she's riding with Mr. Poe and is making noises like she's going to rob again. A second bank? Or is she robbing Mulctuary Money Management twice, and if so, why?
BTW, I cannot get over how good-looking Kevin is. I feel like he's the most attractive person this season, which is really saying something considering it also contains Jacques and Esme.

I feel like the changes in TCC really worked for me. Madam Lulu was great, I like how her updated story played out. It made her way more likable from the books.
The only change I'm not liking is them keeping the henchpeople around. Esme line of when they loose henchmen doesn't make sense. It would also be nice for the audience to have the villains loosing people as well as the good side. Also not having it be count Omar in the newspaper is a strange change
It's really interesting hat they have the Children try to Kill Olaf. In the books they never get to that level. I think it's going to be really sad when they burn down the hotel in TPP. I also let out a gasp when Olivia pushed them. Then I realized they we're safe. What a shock!!!
The freaks were great. I'm loving Kevin, he makes me laugh every time. I was surprised that they learned what VFD stands for but it makes sense since the TV show is moving the mystery along faster then in the books.
Even though I was worried that the parent survival plot would feel repetitive. I think the way they are handling it is really good. (that woman has to be Kit)
The figurative and literal Cliffhanger was great. Also I'm really happy that the belly of the beast made it into the story. I loved the counter on the screen. I thought that was really cleaver.
Overall this season was really good. Looking forward to next season hopefully we don't have to wait too long.

The woman in tears looking at the carnival really gave me chills. Maybe lemony didn't know the exact whereabouts of his sister?

OH! Do they find out about the meaning of the initials this early in the books? I seem to remember it being farther but I could be wrong.

In the books, they learn the full meaning in TSS. It was probably accelerated to fit the structure of the television show; covering it in the season finale instead of the end of episode 1 (or beginning of 2) in season 3 is a better narrative beat. Not like TSS doesn't serve up a whole bunch of mysteries on the side anyway.
