Oh wow, I didn't even see the bit about the sugar bowl. Yes, where has it gone?
Of course, Foxy, if you are DH you cannot really be a mama.
Terry: I can quite believe that I forgot your birthday. In the olden days there was a calendar showing birthdays, which allowed me to work them out in advance, but now if I don't remember to check on the actual day, I will miss it. And yes, I did win Most Compassionate, jointly with Trip in 2017. It was the crowning moment of my time here, as this is the most coveted of awards.

Foxy isn't DH. Foxy is Lisa Brown. Congratulations to Foxy! I was rooting for her!

hello babes, it is i, cupid!! those who've been around for a while will probably remember me. i've been historically in charge of delivering anonymous valentines on february. did you know, kiddos, that there were multiple couples that were born here at 667 and that even became real-life pairings?? tho i've been kinda quiet, i never abandoned you, teehee!! i made this great comeback to present an award and remind you of my existence. what award, you might ask?? well not "best pairing" as anyone would expect cause zortegus didn't save it for me ¬¬ so blame him for being such a mess anyhoo!! the award i'm presenting today is a really important one: "best creative writing"!! okay yeah it's not that important since most people don't write creative things anymore (thanks centennials, i blame you!!) but there are still some artistic souls around us, so i think their existence becomes even more important, don't you think?? so lets see... Jacques Snicket got nominated for his "the deleterious diagnosis of doctor diogenes", and we're afraid the diagnosis was not too good for him since he got zero votes (( cwm got nominated for "a series of unfortunate events: the text adventure game". do you want to know if he won? y/n if you pressed y: okay i'll tell you. despite being super original and fun, cwm didn't get any votes if you pressde n: you clearly don't care about this user, so let's move on and go to the next one. jim , who's been around for a while already, got nominated for his "arthur poe's a series of fiscally irresponsible events", a really original take on everyone's favorite series of books or so i was told. anyway he got 4 votes but that's not enough for winning. sorry quisby!! hopefully i'll deliver you many valentines on february :* also, a newcomer got nominated for this award. don't we all just love newcomers? btw i'm talking about Foxy obvi!! she wrote "the sunny baudelaire diaries" and got really popular lately, winning two awards so far. she got an amount of six votes, being the winner of this zortie!! wooo!! congratulations everyone so far, and congratulations foxy for getting your third award this year ^^ here's this banner Cracky McTeague designed, isn't it gorge?

Congrats Foxy! Your story is a great achievement and a great contribution to the site.
It looks like next year we will be having the Foxies - which makes a lot of sense given the them of DH's next book.
Also, welcome back, Cupid!

Nice to meet you, Cupid! And congratulations Foxy! Foxy is amazing! I'm super fan of her. She is so kind that allowed me to win at least one award. Terry, your banner looks amazing. Thank you very much. I'll have a painting done for me, and a cup with your banner.

Oh, huzzah! Many thanks everyone for the votes and congratulations— and I offer my own congratulations to the other winners.
Now, it is my very great pleasure to announce the results of the best pairing contest. An interesting award which honours those who have made a special contribution to the forum through their unique partnership, friendship, or rivalry with another member. This year there were three nominations, but only one winner (well, technically two winners, but you know what I mean).
In joint second place with three votes apiece: Dante & Jeanlucio10, and Dante & Hermes.
In first place, then, with a grand total of four points ....
BEAR AND TERRY!
Congratulations to the winners, commiserations to the not-winners.

Sweet, I don't think I've won anything at the Darkies last year, which sucked, so this is nice!
A portmanteau made from Bear+Terry could be "Barry", which is also a TV show about a sociopathic hitman trying to get into the performing arts, which sounds about right for a blend of Bear and I.

Congrats Bear and Terry! I think this is the first time that a rival nomination (even if for friendly rivals) has actually won, though many have been made.

Now that Bear and Terry won "Best Pairing", I'm gonna talk about our next award, for which they were the only nominated. Not only that, but it's the only award the candidates nominated themselves. I'm talking of course of the "Best Thread" award, where we reward original, fun, interesting, unique and/or special threads. This year we had a lot of great options: "Good Ass Shots" by bear "Flowers" by bear "Quotes from wikipedia" by bear "Quotes from peppermince's post history" by bear "what would your knuckle tats say" by bear "Rather Nice Album Art" by bear "The Raddest Book Covers" by bear "Monkeys" by bear "The Proust Questionnaire" by bear "guess who's coming to dinner?" by bear "NEW FIC: LemonySnicket'sValentineSurprise (gone sexual) (R!)" by bear "Bite, or Suck" by bear "2018 disques" by bear "2018 flicks" by Terry "Lemony Snicket and Edward Gorey: A Comparison" by Terry "ASoUE: Part of 90s Trend of Postmodern Advertising?" by Terry "Fairy Tales" by Terry ",l." by Terry Most of them got, of course, zero votes. "Quotes from Wikipedia" and "The Raddest Book Covers" by bear got one vote each. "what would your knucle tats say" by bear, "ASoUE: Part of 90s Trend of Postmodern Advertising?" and ",l." by Terry got three votes each, being the winners of this award. Congratulations Cracky McTeague for getting two thirds of this award, and Reba for getting one third! (this was a very tricky award; if it was "Best Thread Creator", Terry would have won with a total of six votes, but since it isn't, it's a three-ways tie)

wow the "zorties" are "popping" so far but it seems like one award is.....Conspicuously Absent!!!!!!! for 2019's special award you nominated people you felt to be absent but like, in a present way? like palpably? like you lose a tooth and your tongue is like oh damn? like if you opened a chip bag and it was empty but you felt.....maybe those sweet heat bbq chips were supposed to be on 667 dark avenue? posting in bear's latest thread for ranking hamster breeds or what the ickle ever we talk about now? you nominated: BSam, Dante, Lemona, Pandora, Peppermince, and Tiago. i was notably not nominated despite having logged in all of twice in all of 2018 to see if anything was on fire, and doesn't being conspicuously absent from the nominations make me the most conspicuously absent of all???!!??!! kinda sexy of me??? but i would never take this prized title from the true winner, both in the poll in my own personal opinion: there's no noisier absence than that of Cafe SalMONAlla . i miss you the kids miss you come back home baby uh oh! looks like our winner is too Most Conspicuously Absent to accept! i'll take this bad boy (expertly designed by Reba ) on her behalf and make sure it ends up in the right hands
