Welcome ladies, gentlemen and everyone in between or out of those categories!
This weekend the ceremony of the First Annual Zorties will have place. Please take a virtual seat and enjoy it, unless you have to present an award, receive a Zortie or create some drama, all of those are highly encouraged.

Well, let's begin. It's fitting that Best Volunteer should be the first award to be presented, since we at 667 are in essence a body of volunteers, brought together by our interest in Lemony Snicket's work and our commitment to the ideals of his mysterious aristocracy. This year has seen a resurgence of discussion in the Snicket threads, and the nominees for this award include many eager young volunteers from our new generation. The nominees are: veryferociousdrama , for starting and organising the 2019 Great Re-read. Foxy , for her encyclopaedic posts in the Re-read, which are creating a much-needed Snicket resource. Carrie E. Abelabudite , for her very full and illuminating contributions to the Re-Read. El Juanico Diez , for his provocative theories, which, whether or not we agree with them, provide much food for thought, and stimulate the kind of discussion which is the aim of this site. And Dante , our senior volunteer, now the board's longest-serving active member, for the wisdom which he continues to provide in Snicketological debates. And the winner is Jeanlucio10! Congratulations, jeanlucio! Long may you continue to provoke thought and discussion!

Congratulations, jeanlucio! Your theories are very well-thought-out, and it is obvious you put a lot of time into them.

Congratulations, Jean Lucio. There's very little on which we actually agree, but I can only respect your ingenuity.

Really? Really? Thank you!
I think I need to make a speech so I'll try to make a speech in English and Portuguese ...
Guys, seriously, it's a great honor for me. Perhaps you are the few who can understand how I feel about ASOUE. I had heard of you a long time ago. I never imagined that one day I would be part of Dark Avenue 667 and I would never imagine that one day I would be recognized by you as the best volunteer. For me this is the biggest prize that an ASOUE theorist could gain from his theories. You are the world reference in this matter. I have met people here who not only understand a lot about ASOUE, but also people who are willing to read my ideas with patience. I also met people who can disagree with me without offending me. This is very hard to find in my country.
In my country, there are many intolerant people with respect to new ideas, or different ways of thinking. I can only imagine these people reading this text now. I hope they feel ashamed to be so disrespectful. Thank you guys for Dark Avenue 667 are different. Thank you for existing. Thanks for accepting me. And thank you for forgiving my egocentrism. I need to thank some people by name. First of all I thank Dante. He was the first volunteer here on Dark Avenue 667 I talked to. He had patience with me to read theories in lousy English. Dante gave me tips. Dante is my "senpai". Secondly, I want to thank Foxy, who is the nicest person in the Milky Way. She is a genius, and her words encouraged me a lot. I want to thank Bear for teaching me education. Thank you to Zortegus for creating this award. I want to thank Nifrido and his brother Evezel for youtube channel "Quarto dos Gemeos", which, despite being so famous, paid attention to me. I want to thank Ju of the YouTube channel "TogaVoadora", which is also very famous and also paid attention to me and gave me the idea of having a Tumblr account to publish my theories. (sncketstrange.tumblr.com). I want to thank Felipe from the same YouTube channel "TogaVoadora", which gave me the idea of publishing my theories in English, and conversations with you from Dark Avenue 667. I want to thank Guilherme from the VFD Squad group for managing to insure my crazy ideas to be so crazy. I also want to thank Luluchiha from the Amino community about ASOUE in my country. She had the courage to stand before an entire community with scythes, matches, and flammable material coming my way. I want to thank everyone who watched my videos on my YouTube channel (Beatrice está viva!) ... It's been several hours listening to me, I feel so sorry for these people. Thanks especially to Grabriel Martins, Gabi P (who was also the first to comment on my blog on wordpress), Dani Maria who is a small volunteer who also does theories, Stefany Souza who encouraged me to improve the art of my youtube channel. Laerte, who is my English expert, and it's a shame he does not know anything about ASOUE. But even that was important for him to help me. I thank my wife Jorgeane who has been patient with me and to trie to understand why I like it so much ... (Honey, I do not even know why I like it so much). And of course, thank Daniel Handler for creating something as incredible as ASOUE and ATWQ.
Agora em Português:
Sério!!! Ual! Primeiramente agradeço a Dante. Ele foi o primeiro voluntário aqui da Dark Avenue 667 com quem eu conversei. Ele teve paciência comigo para ler teorias em um inglês péssimo. Dante me deu dicas.

Now, I'm gonna present an award This year, we had four people nominated for Best Artist, and I want to talk a little bit about each of them. - Liam R. Findlay is an awesome artist who has been part of this forum for a couple years now, and his wonderful art has always been recognized not only by us, but also by a lot of people outside the forum. Most of the actors and actresses on the show were drawn by him and most of them also recognized his great abilities. He won Darkies for Best Artist in the past... but I'm sorry to say he didn't win a Zortie this year. - Cracky McTeague is another artist who has been around for a long time. His exquisite aesthetic and his great edition abilities were recognized year after year. Sadly, he only got two votes, not being those enough to guarantee this Zortie. - Uncle Algernon joined 667 Dark Avenue last year and became a big part of our community. His unique art-style is well known here, and that's why three people voted for him to get this Zortie, landing him on second place. Sorry, Algernon, this is not your time. - Violent BUN Fortuna is one of the strongest presences here at 667 Dark Avenue, and not only her lovely personality made her an important person on this forum. Her art got her an special place on this forum, and year after year we saw her evolution. That's why she got five votes, making her the winner of this Zortie! Congratulations, Bun! Here's this awesome banner Reba made for you (who clearly will never win a Best Artist award):

Congratulations Jean Lucio and Violent Bun Fortuna for their deserved wins! Next up: MOST COMPASSIONATE - On fourth place we have Reba and Geru Tosz with one vote each. I'm guessing bear's one vote was made sarcastically, and Zort was probably voted on by Mr M who finds Zorty, I quote, "hawt." - Violent BUN Fortuna is giving good artists a good name by getting 2 votes, but alas, only landing on third place. - Our resident birthday beaver Hermes got 3 votes, but I'm sure he has deservedly won this one enough times in past years, so this time he only gets second place. Serves you right for forgetting my birthday that one time! (I don't remember whether that's true, but I'm turning it into a running joke anyway) - It takes five (metaphorical) fingers to make a (metaphorical) fist that (figuratively) bashes incompassion to death with kindness (literally)... and it takes 5 votes to win Most Compassionate this year (laterally). Let's congratulate Foxy for being the kindhearted mama she is!

The BEST NEW MEMBER status is one which some individuals have kindly suggested I should have won last year, but what's done is done, eh? Surely there won't be any hard feelings there to be taken into account when considering making me the spokesman, eh? Sounds like a good, safe idea, eh? …kidding. veryferociousdrama was nominated, but got a rather small number of votes, as that number was 0. Never fear, though, modern mathmatics agree that the number 0 is a number like any other. And hey, a nomination is still something, and lands you the coveted fourth-best-new-member slot! Carrie E. Abelabudite wins third-place with one (1) vote. Quite a nice start, if I should say so myself! Carrie on, Carry! …wait… El Juanico Diez , feel free to create lengthy conspiracy theories explaining why you only got 3 votes, for second place. At least you did win an award. And so we come to our true winner, with a staggering nine votes! Foxy , whose foxiness mostly manifested in the form of fanfics that make me seriously wonder if, perhaps, our vulpine friend isn't simply Daniel Handler in disguise… the cover of one of Handler's latest books does have a fox on it… coincidence? I think not! Jeanlucio, get on that. At any rate, you… do not win money, because we are, after all, Volunteers, but you do win this beautiful little thing by your fellow forest-dweller Reba . We were also going to present you with a novelty sugar bowl, but we seem to have misplaced it. Huh. Oh well, I'm sure nothing will come of it.

Congrats Violet (Violent), Foxy and Foxy again! All these are very well deserved, and that dramatic result in BNM is especially striking. Also some splendid speeches.
(Algernon: We did have 'most likely to be DH in disguise' as a special award one year - sad that it was not on offer this year.)

Congratulations violetbunfortunate/Violent Bun Fortuna/Violent Bun Tun on best artist! I hope we get to see more of your Harry Potter art in the coming year, it is really awesome.
Oh my goodness. First of all, congratulations to everyone who was nominated for most compassionate and best new member. Since I joined, I have seen so many people here who are really, really nice. It makes me smile when I think about how everyone gets along so well. And each person on that list of nominations for new members is really an impressive addition to the forum!
Terry, I loved your presentation. Thank you for your reference to me being a mama. Hearing my daughter say "Mama!" is one of my favorite sounds in the world, and being a mama and a wife are two of my favorite things to be.
Uncle Algernon, I also loved your presentation. It made me chuckle at several moments and left me seriously wondering about the sugar bowl.
Bear, that banner is AWESOME!!! Thank you for making it.
And thank you to everyone who voted for me, for welcoming me to your forum this year!
