So Esme dies, if she dies, of eating poisonous unfashionable mushrooms. Interesting theory. However, we have no way of verifying that she will die. I suspected that Esme would die in book 12 or 13, and that one of the henchmen would die in book 11. I want Esme to stay around another book or two. She inspires me to design costumes and that's good.

I'm sure Esme would be very gratified to know that she is inspiring 'in' people to design 'in' clothing.

It is very 'in' right now to be a mentor.

Besides, it gives her more places from which to steal new additions to her wardrobe.

I think that Esme will eat a mushroom because its in to eat colourful mushrooms because its in and then count Olaf will say that the colourful mushrooms are poisenus and the plain ones arent and then Esme will get in a pannic when it turns out plain mushrooms are poisenus and colourful ones arent.I also think Aunt Joesophine is the lost friend.

Actually I think that Justice Strauss is the long lost friend. I read something about it somewhere else.. but wouldnt it make more sense? Everyone knows Justice IS living and how would Aunt Josephine get away from a hundred leeches? hmm

Well, that's a good idea too, I never thought of that, but I still think there's a chance that Aunt Josephine is the long lost friend that they at least meet again, or hear of again.

I just thought.Justice strauss would make more sence as she was more of a friend and on www.lemonysnicket.com theres a clue to the 11th which is many individuals have the same initials which can lead to much injustice and Justice Strauss has the same initials as Jacques Snicket

It's certainly possible that Justice Strauss is the old friend. She seems to be a VFDer, but I don't think she'll recieve injustice because her name isn't Justice. That's her title, but if someone scrawled down her initials I could understand the confusion. By the way, what if Aunt Josephine's maiden name starts with S? Could she be part of this, somehow? I used to suspect that she was alive, but it's unlikely.

Maybe Justices real name has the same initals? but for some reason i think its her. Also, the job thing would probably make her a VFDer. Every person in VFD has a unique job of their own.. liek Isadoras poems, Duncans Reporter skills, Quigleys mapmaking, etc. well i think shes comming back..

Well, I do think that Justice Strauss' maiden name DOES start with a J, and Josephine's maiden name does start with an S.

I also think it will be Hooky who dies. Before the freaks came along, I suspected that the white-faced women would die in TCC, then the bald man in book 10, then Hooky. But now that we have those annoying freaks, I want the Hook-handed man to live. After TCC, I hoped Kevin would die in TSS. I like him better than Kevin, Collette, and Hugo combined. He terrifies children! He lost his hands in a lumbermill accident(my theory anyway)! He gets an A+!
