Last year, I read all the spoilers for TGG, and regretted it later. This time, I'm going to try and avoid them (if I have enough willpower, that is). It's too bad there aren't any Wal-Marts in my area.
I'm hoping to go to to the Today Show, then a bookstore by there, but if we can't get tickets to the show, then just go to a bookstore close by at 10 am. I'm homeschooled, so school isn't a concern for me.

You suck. No way I could get to the Today show.... But aren't we supposed to be talking about the title?

Well, yes, technically. But let's be honest - we've pretty much exhausted that line of inquiry now. And a little rambling is to be expected, so close to the release date, and with all this stuff happening on TheNamelessNovel.com, since we're all so excited.I'm happy to let you talk about when you're actually going to get the book now and then.
However, if anyone does have any new title suggestions - or good reasons why an old one might be correct - don't hesitate to post about it. That is what this thread's for, after all.

I'm wondering what we can infer about the title from the cover. If it shows a crowded lobby or foyer, than one of those might figure into it. The Fiery/Fearful Foyer? The Loathsome Lobby?

Good point; Lemony probably won't reuse a word from the title of a set. What other unpleasant L-adjectives are there? I can think of "lousy" but since it's already been used as part of a place name, I'm not sure.

There aren't many L-adjectives that are negative. I checked on Thesaurus.com, but the best it could come up with was "licentious" (which I highly doubt will be in the title). The FSomething Foyer would work, though. If the foyer is particularly important to the story - or is at least noteworthy, as with the Reptile Room and the Wide Window - not too important to the story, especially in the latter case, but certainly remarkable.

I think that the elevator will be more significant than the Foyer, but of course then there was TEE.

Yes; even though we've received so many elevator-related clues what with the triptych and everything, I can't imagine that an elevator will be the center of the plot, simply because we've seen one in TEE. However, one could look at it conversely and say that elevators have a certain VFD significance so we probably will see an important one crucial to the plot in book the twelfth. It's hard to say.

Sorry to keep you guys down but if you look at the title picture where it says book the twelfth there will be no room for the title. Even on the books the title is all the way atthe bottom of the book. I think lemony will give us just the picture and then wait to give the title

lemony snicket likes alliteration-maybe the baudelaire mum is beatrice baudelaire? The current thread for Beatrice discussion is here. Bear in mind that, in all likelihood, anything you've noticed or thought of has been discussed to death. Edit: Indeed, there's not much point in theorising about anything except TheNamelessNovel.com until B12 comes out.

Dante- would it be all right if I started a thread asking whether or not people think we'll get the title on thenamelessnovel.com before the release date, or does that belong in the actual tnn.com thread?

ok i bet people have said this a million time but I don't want to read all 100000 pages of this forum but theres something I noticed and its really exciting: According to September 23rd's entry, there is a hint on the link: www.kidzworld.com/site/book_shelf.htm There is a fake taxi ad on Kidsworld that says: "TERMINAL TAXI CO. Your trusted associate for emergency transportations HOTEL PICKUPS AND DROPOFFS As featured in The Theoretical Truth by Lemony Snicket" If you click on it, it returns to www.thenamelessnovel.com I think this is title of Book the Twelfth.
