I just had a new wild idea. We have never seen the parents of Carmelita. Could Justice Strauss also be Mrs. Spats? Could Jermome Squalor also be Mr. Spats? Either or both might be true. What do you think? It's a meeting place between the J.S.'s. I'm leaning towards Justice being the mother rather than Jerome.

And then there's me who doesn't support either.

Many individuals have the same initials which can lead to much injustice.

Yes. So perhaps there are more JSes and they are being confused with the true JS and betrayal and spying and such is occurring due to the confusion of which JS is which.

Intriguingly, the "many individuals" clue was supposed to be a clue to the plot of TGG, yet it didn't end up playing much of a role. ...Or did it?

Would someone sending a telegram to Justice Strauss actually send it to J.S.? Her first name could be anything, for all we know. It just seems a weird way to address someone (JS) if it's only their official title that starts with 'J'.

If she was part of the V.F.D. wouldn't they send it by her first true initial?

If she was part of the V.F.D. wouldn't they send it by her first true initial? Yes but this is a very mysterious topic and there is more than one J in VFD so they may wish to be a bit more specific. Or maybe this person (or people) wish(es) to go by J.S. for reasons unknown.

Exactly. Intriguingly, the "many individuals" clue was supposed to be a clue to the plot of TGG, yet it didn't end up playing much of a role. ...Or did it? I was wondering that also. The Slippery Slope clue (where two will leave and never be seen again) played into TSS, but there was only the one mention of JS, really, in TGG.

or 3. There was etartsigam, Quigley's copied message, and poe's message.

Could it be possible that the JS who Quigley trusted never got the telegram? Someone else could've gotten it and sent it to Poe.

or 3. There was etartsigam, Quigley's copied message, and poe's message. Yes, but only Poe's message seemed to tie into the concept of there being multiple J.S.s, and that this might be troublesome.
