Hey I just remembered something from the recent past of The Nameless Novel thread. Remember when jcgsbald had that crazy wacky Idea of the Title being The Puttanesca Pernwatboo? Well... I suppose he wasn't that far off. No one would have really guessed 'Penultimate' and got the first few letters of Peril right. Hmm, maybe there was something in that title Dante....

I think that we probably all agree that the timeline of aSoUE is tied in knots right now.
It's entirely possible that all the taxi-drivers were the same individual. There's nothing to stop that from being true, at least not that I can remember.
kunu, you give some quite good evidence for B13 being called The Toppling/Tumbling Tower, but frankly I think that rumoured titles that have been around as long as that one are pretty much worthless. Besides, since TPP's title included a time reference, I'm expecting B13's title to be the same.
Edit: Also, somebody said that the Baudelaires are probably going to the air next, or something. I think that whoever it was (I apologise for not remembering who) probably has something there - the Baudelaires have been on land and underwater (and they've certainly seen much fire), but they've never really been up in the sky. Or just on water, for that matter, although I think that they'll experience both in B13.

Something weirder is that just after TGG was released, I wrote a book twelve fanfiction called The Perilous Plane, in which Nero and Sir returned, as did Geraldine Julienne.

I am a member of an organization that requires its members to pretend to be various occupations, including detective, ship captain, dramatic critic, duchess, waiter, and many others. For years this organization has behaved in ways that were as noble as they were secret, but recently this organization has experienced a schism, a word which here means "a member suddenly behaving in a greedy and violent manner and thus dividing the organization into two arguing groups." The member I am speaking of-I will just call him O, though currently he prefers S-has recently done a great deal of vicious, unfair, and impolite acts that I shudder to describe.

I think the Baudelaires might travel some way in Olaf's ship, and be picked up by the SSMAMH, which then crashes, and they're scattered in the ocean(variously on that island where you can't take the fruit, and whereever the FFP are). I was thinking, is it possible that the cab driver is the one from TRR (the one who drops of Count Olaf, and who does not get a tip because he was showing pictures of his children)? Or perhaps all three taxi drivers (TRR, TWW, and TPP) are the same, or at least working together... perhaps a Volunteer taxi service? Possibly. There might be a group of volunteers who usually go on taxi-driving missions. It's hard to tell from the drivers' behavior if they're all the same, but we don't eally see much of them.

yeah, if the baudelaires were to spend sometime in the air my bet would be with the Quags and hector in the self-sustaining mobile home...but then again, Olaf is with them...so would he hop on to??

Well most likely...buuuuuuuuut then again he coul ddo something and to make him fall off or let go who knows. But that would fit in perfectly with the whole thing that Olaf said. Remember how he said he had somehthing that could swat things out of the sky? Maybe that thing is the Self Sustaining Mobile Home...could be

The Carmelita, the submarine Olaf used in TGG, had an enormous fly-swatter, which Olaf said was to attack V.F.D. planes. Since Fernald and Fiona have stolen the Carmelita back from Olaf, and since they're apparently fighting with the eagles against the self-sustaining hot air mobile home, then it's likely that the fly-swatter is what they're using.
In short: It seems likely that the Carmelita's enormous fly-swatter will be used to knock the SSHAMH out of the sky in B13.
Edit: This is so obvious that I'm sure somebody probably pointed it out a few pages ago. Ah well. At least I can say I was reminding Snicket89.

Dante, lemony says in TGG that the Baudelaires would soon find themselves in the air. Celinra, I noticed it too. I think it's just a reference to the eye theme of V.F.D.
I just thought of something. In TPP, it says that Bertrand Baudelaire played the elevator trick on a tiresome woman named Eleanora at the Hotel Preludio. Obviously, this woman is Eleanora Poe. Do you think the Bauds could have there, not only for vacation, but to investigate, or do something to Eleanora Poe? EDIT: Soooooooooo sorry about the double post. It was accidental. I promise never to do it again.

Dante, lemony says in TGG that the Baudelaires would soon find themselves in the air. I am aware. We're discussing that a little in this thread (although that's also for general matters Eleanora).

didn't Snicket say something in TGG also about experiencing Misfortune up in the air, or something like that?

I believe this is what you and jman are alluding to:
A citation for bravery is nothing more than a piece of paper stating that you have been courageous at some time, and such citations have not been known to be very useful when confronted by danger, whether deep underwater or, as the Baudelaires would eventually learn, high up in the air.
