Since we've been talking about Captain Sham, Why did Aunt Jo mention Horrid Harbor in the movie, when it is really Hazy Harbor? And in TUA Daedalus instead of Damocles Dock in the map.

I kinda believe that all IDV species have the same behaviour.
Why, a poodle cannot be someone's long-life companion, and someone else's fierce predator!

Different members of the same species can certainly behave differently, look at humans.
But in this case I believe most IDVs would act the same as the one we've already seen.
Daedalus Dock and Damocles Dock are two completely different places, there's no error there. Damocles is near Josephine's house, Daedalus is the one from which the prospero takes off, close to uncle monty's place.

I`m sure that Captain Sham and the Viper will turn up in bok 13. I hope Mr Poe die because he have`nt even try to help the Baudelaire, he have just been giving them more troubles. And i wonder if the ever get their fortune in B13. I can hardly wait.

i kindof doubt the Viper. In the UA, there is a pic of Esme Squalor and hre commitee or whatever with the dead Viper. since Esme Squalor is dead, or implied to be dead, the Viper had to be dead in her lifetime.

EDIT: On the subject of Aunt Jo saying Horrid Harbor instead of Hazy Harbor is because (in my opinion) the movie was terrible and inaccurate. But of coarse, that's a matter of opinion.

Also, i think the thing about the dock on the UA map, i think that they are 2 different docks, because Lake Lachrymose and the D. Dock in the Ua are completley separate (to the visible eye)

It's actually the dead Mamba Du Mal that was bought by the Esme Squalor Fan Club.

As for the two harbors, I recall that the Hazy one is by the sea, and the Horrid one(if it even exists in the book canon, which I don't think it does) is on Lake Lachrymose.

Also, it's worth noting that the Viper appears on the back cover of the whole-series boxed set, The Complete Wreck, in an image that possibly depicts a scene from The End: asoue.proboards11.com/index.cgi?board=hoop&action=display&thread=1152649923

On the U.A.'s map, Hazy Harbor is in the east and by the sea, near but separate from Lake Lachrymose. Damocles Dock was on Lake Lachrymose in TWW; Daedalus Dock, where the Prospero was docked, is by the sea in the north-west of the U.A.'s map. I don't recall a Horrid Harbor ever being mentioned in the books.

It would seem as if the movie concocted Horrid Harbor out of thin air.
Captain sham? I'm pretty sure there is no captain sham, how can we have a completely new character just show up out of the blue like that? Though I guess it's something handler would do...

It almost has to be the IDV. What other reptile is important, and on the back of the Complete Wreck box. It's the IDV.

Oh it was the IDV no doubt. Do I have to gather all the evidence?
-Olaf said that all the reptiles but one-, and then stopped. This was a quote in the ss interrupted by the beardless woman. He was saying that the good side of VFD didn't have the trained reptiles anymore. We know that the people who own the prospero concealed their dealings with the IDV from O's associate(tua) therefore it is to be inferred that all of the reptiles but the IDV are in the hands of bad VFD.
-The IDV is on the complete wreck for heaven's sake
-The mamba is the only other snake that was mentioned with any kind of detail and it was displayed dead in tua.
-They're on the sea. So is the Prospero. We know the IDV was on or around the Prospero at one point. so...
There's probably more evidence too.

Speaking of plot info:
So we now know there's a haunting secret about the baudelaire parents and a poison drink.
I'm thinking the secret is along the lines of murder of olafs' parents.
The drink has been said to be a root beer float based on a fact mentioned in BL about the recipe for a root beer float.
Thoughts?

well of course that, but any other thoughts? Any other drinks that could be used? And what poisons? Hang on, could olaf possibly use the mycelium to poison a drink? Maybe he could poison the whole island with it, oh wait no, they grow best in enclosed spaces. The mycelium drink is still possible though.
