i dont know if this questions were already asked but who was that wierd taxi driver in tpp a) The weird taxi-driver from The Wide Window; b) Lemony Snicket; c) Both. With the aid of a woman wearing a diving suit, the taxi-driver took it. Lemony is a Snicket, as are Jacques and Kit. If your question is "Why is baby Beatrice called Beatrice Baudelaire?", it's because she was raised by Violet, Klaus, and Sunny. In The Beatrice Letters, she doesn't even know that Lemony Snicket is her uncle. Presumably some newspapers washed up on the island reporting the Baudelaire mansion fire - remember, Ishmael lied about books and newspapers never washing up on the coastal shelf.

Well I would assume it wouldn't be,because of the extra things that it comes with. Plus its a bit pricey for a book with letters and pictures XD.
You know what I wondered for the longest time, whatever happened in that one year while they were on the island. They wouldve obviously gone missing, and what happened when they reached shore? Were they arrested, or were they just forgotten about? I wonder if they ever reccieved their fortune.

Hi there!
I am new to this site. I love the Lemony Snicket books and has been obsessed with them for years, but I was a bit disapointed after reading "The End" and realising that hardly any of the mysteries were solved. I am still so confused!!
Is anybody able to help me out and help explain things to me?
Thanks =]

Of course we can help. Just ask questions about anything you don't understand.

Is the story of the Baudelaire's really true?! It sounds really fake to Ume down, the Baudelaires hiding in Olaf's trunk, those reptiles in uncle Monty's house they are fake!!!, all those unfortunate events and many more. i am not saying that it is a bad series but it would be almost impossible for me to believe this. But anyway... i read the whole series about 4 times and i cannot stop. Unless I get a family tree of the Baudelaires or something like it I cannot understand it completely. Help me!!!

You may rest assured that the story is a work of fiction. Claiming that it's real is just for fun.

I think the end disappointed a lot of people because it left so much unexplained. I read it twice to make sure I hadn't missed something but I was annoyed that almost none of my questions were answered. Does anyone know if Daniel has definitely given up on writing any other books or spin offs (like an unauthorized autobigoraphy and things)?

I kind-of felt sorry for Olaf in The End. But now that I look at it, he deserved to die, and I'm satisfied. Kit reminded me of Padme in Star Wars the way she died.

I did actually feel sorry for Olaf, surprisingly. I felt dirty feeling that, though D: Although in the end, I'm glad that he did, of course. For some reason, after reading TBB for the first time, I had hoped for Sunny to kill him, but that just wouldn't be right, I guess. And the fact that he basically killed himself was great.

Sunny did suggest that they push Olaf overboard, so you almost got your wish, mijahu.
