the first few books of HP were pretty good but after a while the books start to get a litte boring. i mean they all have the same story line. harry is at the derslys, he goes to hogwarts, somthing really bad is happening and they spend most of the story figuring out what it is, and then harry goes and saves the day. if all the books end up being like that im going to be sick . JK should be able to think up somthing different. does anyone else agree?

i dont think the books are that similar. sure they all have the same basic plot, but its the details of it all make them different. tell me rellim, what would your idea for the next book be?

I don't really like Harry Potter anymore, and they all are a bit the same. I don't know, book 5 was stupid.

*glares at ginnyriddle* I thought you were my friend!!!
Well, the third book was a little different because at least there was not a faceoff with voldemort and somebody else instead. I think that is why most everbody liked the third book the best.
But, think about asoue. The first books were all like, the kids go to a terrible guardian, count olaf comes into the picture and fools everybody but the kids, count olaf escapes, and so do the kids, but just barely.

[glow=orange,2,300]I am your friend!!! Buddys forever!! I take back what I said!
Okay, so their certainly not all the same, but I was just so mad at book 5 that I got really mad at HP for a very long time. But I love it, I do!
I like Chamber of Secrets best, it was...I don't know, but It's always been my fav.
ASOUE is a lot like HP in the way that they get more unique as the books continue. [/glow]

Did Voldemort return to his full body and unite what death eaters had escaped Azkaban in the first 3 books? nope. Did the first 4 books have Dumbledore leap into a duel? no In the other books did Harry get to fly on a broomstick to a secret hideout? Okay u get my point. That's what makes it a series, they've got the same essential idea till the last one, but the unique things in each of them is what makes you want to read them.

Yay! Friends! ;D Chamber of Secrets is my favorite too, and next is GoF. I think. Hmm...were you mad at book 5 because they killed off Sirius? Because that kinda made me mad. And I completely agree with you Jacques. Well said.

i didn't like OotP when i first read it but when i listened to it on tape again, i loved it. the fact that harry was acting like a jerk annoyed me but i understood it more when i heard it again, cause i could relate to getting really mad one minute and being fine the next. though of course, i haven't had someone die right next to me either....... he'll be a monster in book six if he keeps this up

Sure he will. But then he will recognise the err of his ways.
But you know, I understand why he was such a jerk. I mean, his family and friends keep dying off and there is an evil guy who wants to kill him. Meh. And I get mad when I stub a toe. Gotta give the guy SOME credit. ;D

I was mad at the whole reason why Voldemort tried to kill Harry and his fam. I mean, it wasn't even exciting. You wait the whole books for the reason, thinking of all these cool reasons, and she's all, "A prophecy from a snowglobe" ya, not cool. And the Dumbledore thing! That sentence from GoF left us all hanging, and then she made up some lame excuse. I don't know, its wasn't harry potterish to me. I thought Serius dying wasn't too bad, even though it was sad. And then Harry was all scary and mad at everyone. And annoying. So completely annoying. so extremely annoying.
Okay, I'm done now, lol. ;D
