That's an excellent point, I hadn't thought of that. I think what Dumbledore tried to do was wipe voldemort's memory which would take away his powers. Not only make him powerless, but also giving him a chance to 'start over again' shall we say. The only reason I say this is that memory charms are 'jets of white light' and that's what I think dumbledore sent at voldemort..

Dumbledore can't die. *hopeful assertion* he's invincible.

Yes, but unfortunately even great wizards such as Dumbledore die, although I'm not saying he will in the 7th book. Don't you think they JKR should create like a "20 years later" chapter so we know what happens to the characters? I hope she does! Harry, Ron, and Hermione should all become Aurors and then they can capture the Death Eaters and other evil wizards! That would be so cool, they could be like the Trio!

Except hermione doesn't want to be an auror. She wants to head S.P.E.W. Or she could become a teacher at Hogwarts. But yes it'd be nice to know what happens to the bunch of them after school.

JKR has stated that the last chapter of the last book will be a kind of epilogue, explaining what happens to those characters who've survived after the climax of the series.

Really, Dante? Where? All I knew was that the last word was scar...which doesn't seem particularly to fit with an epilogue. I'm sure you're right, but could you divulge your source, please?

Oh, I can't recall, but it's been fairly common information for a while, I think. Actually, I'm sure that she mentioned it in "JK Rowling: The Interview" (was that just before OotP or just before GoF?). And I recall the "scar" thing as well, and she later stated that that might change with the writing of the book.

I remember an interview like that before ootp where she stated she already had the last chapter of book 7 in a notebook kept hidden for 'very very obvious reasons' I dunno if it was the same one Dante is referring to.

[glow=blue,2,300]Wow. We have a lot to look forward to in seven. *looks at topic* I think Hermione's in the most danger because of her. . . birth condition.(muggle-born)[/glow]

Yeah, with all of those followers of Voldemort(like the Malfoys) may try and get rid of all the "MudBloods". I hope she doesn't die. I like Hermione, it'd be boring without her.

If Percy dies I will kill myself. ;___; Unfortunately I also think he is most likely to die. *shrug* If Percy dies I will hop up and down for joy.(That is my opinion. If you do not wish, DON'T BELIEVE IT.)

Does anyone know anything about Shakespeare's A Winter's Tale? There's a Hermione in that, and the hp hermione's fate will probably be the same as hers.

I think that Dubledore will die because he is the only one that Voldemort feared so Voldemort probably wants to get him out of the way before he can get Harry. Or maybe Cho will die cause Harry likes her so Vodemort wants to upset Harry because he dispises him.
