This isn't the bible now is it? I could go into more detail on that but I won't.
I HIGHLY doubt the focus of seven books will just die at the end. The prophecy says one kills the other, meaning if Harry dies Voldy survives, and as many have said, no author would leave the evil one living forever and ever.

Well, obviously Harry is the only one who we know for sure isn't going to die in the OoTP. What on earth would she do in the seventh book? Harry and Dumbledore will probably finish Voldemort off in the eventh book, or something like that.

I hope that happens though I've got a nasty suspicion one of the two good guys will die. Scores of other random people will die too, hopefully some death eaters.

In some ways, Jacques, you're the perfect reader for a novelist. You like whom you're told to like and hate whom you're meant to hate with fanatical intensity. But I promise you, much more enjoyment can be had with books if you accept the greyness in everyone's nature. Even Voldemort's, debatably Melkor's.
"NEITHER MAY LIVE WHILE THE OTHER SURVIVES", isn't it? Restrictions on living, but not on dying. Harry is far from guaranteed ultimate survival, like it or not...

So what if I stick with the good side? And there's no greyness with Melkor, only black.
Yeah, harry definitely isn't guaranteed a life beyond 17.

I highly doubt that JK Rowling will end the seventh book along the lines of, Blown backwards by the force of Voldemort's spell, Harry fell to the ground. He took his final shuddering breath, and his wand fell from his limp hand. Then Harry died. I know I don't have a knack for writing, but ending a book with Harry's death would be extremely lame. I kind of ruin's the purpose for all the other books.

I suppose. Or if harry dies she'll have some stuff happen afterward.

The last chapter's an epilogue, which says what happens to all of the surviving characters in the future, so Harry probably won't die then. Although it would be a neat twist... But I don't think people would like it if he died in the epilogue. There's enough who wouldn't like it if he died at all.

That'd be just tacky if he died in the epilog- well then again, Harry's got to die SOMETIME, so if it summarizes the rest of Harry's life he may well die of old age by the end of it...

Harry dying of old age would be so lame. I'd rather hope to have him be murdered or something interesting. ;D

It is so obvious that Lupin is going 2 die & i have mixed feelings about him I wonder how Harry will feel when he dies?

If Lupin dies(which I'm very afraid he will, consider his first name first off) Harry will experience some version of the feelings he had when Sirius died, whether escalated by losing ANOTHER father figure or downsized because Lupin wasn't AS important to Harry as Sirius was, I cannot say.

Because Harry's got to have at least one link to his parents left, Snape hates his dad so he's out as the link, Dumbledore was just the headmaster so he doesn't work, the only other ones are the marauders, one of which wants harry dead, one of which IS Harry's dad, and one of which (so we believe except for pandora) is dead. Lupin's the only one left and he needs to remain accessible...

I think Snape will die becasue in the 5th book he keeps on going out and pretending he's a follower of Voldermort etc....and I reckon that someday he'll be found out and will be killed. But lets hope not, because Snape is a good character!
