I have proof:
THH, pg. 91: "...I will suddenly remember this thing I did, and think to myself, Was it really necessary? Was it absolutely necessary to steal that sugar bowl from Esme Squalor?"
The reason Esme says "I want to steal from you the way Beatrice stole from me.", is because she thinks Beatrice stole the sugar bowl from her. If Beatrice had stolen from Esme, than LS wouldn't have said what he did in THH.
