I suspect that that is what color the spine of the book will be. It looks cool! Edit: The only things that appear to be from a previous book are the two circles at the top, one with the Baudelaire Orphans, and the other with the Baudelaire Mansion, which are the one's from TGG.

I think Violet (remembering the promise to her parents), will sacrifice herself for Klaus and Sunny. Considering how many times the books have mentioned the promise, I think that will probably happen.

hmmmmmmm. maybe, disasterous denouement. edit: oooooh, maybe something like vanquished vfd. that sounds kinda.......neat......... ;D oh, i know its a double V thing, but lets see: bad beginning and blank book, so its possible The Blank Book isn't a book in the series. I think for 12 it will be something with d, and 13 will be an f. F could be used for many ending words like finish, finale, and final.

Yes, thank you, Dante! I used your Walkthrough thread often on the Vernacularly Fastened Door.

I don't think The Counterfeit Concierge is the title. Like Dante said, it's too easy. But I am very happy that this task was at least more investigative that just answering questions.

The answer to today's clue, if anyone wants to know, is: THE COUNTERFEIT CONCIERGE IS IN. Do you think this is an important clue? Could this be the title of Book the Twelfth? I don't know what to think. It sounds like it would make a good title for the book. But we only got the stupid corner piece. EDIT: If you look towards the bottom of the page, you will find a link with the littlest elf on it. It will lead to the coded message.

Maybe you think it's dull because your just getting so used to seeing it. I also don't understand ANY of today's clue.

To be pretty honest, I didn't find today's clue very interesting at all. I'm too obsessed with finding the title of Book the Twelfth to care much about these random clues.

We have been told, after all, that there would be many suspicious characters in disguise that would be unidentifiable.

Anyway, if TNN WAS in fact called The Horrid Hotel, it would bug me forever and ever!!!!! I would make up a new name after reading it and tape it on top of the THH title.

Yes, I think there is room for Olaf there. Possibly in the 3rd row and 3rd column. I also suspect the wide brimmed hat-person is Esme.
